Mikey explain where you see his ego involved in his coaching, I see you post about it all the time?
Ego involved in his coaching? Seriously?

Hyman getting PP shifts (Literally inexcusable)
Hyman playing during 6 v 5 trying to score situations
Failure to ever support matthews properly, hes played with at least 1 anchor on his line his whole career,
Failure to stack a top 6 and play nylander at C
Terrible goaltender management, perfect example was sparks for the detroit game that we shit the bed on
Failure to adjust lines in game due to his false illusion of depth
failure to be able to win low event games
failure to improve gardiner's decision making in 4 years while still pumping how great he is
Pumps all the shitty gud pros ie brown marleau hyman
has inexcusable bias towards some players and not others. For example, when a skill player comes back in they start from the bottom and have to work their way up, when a plug comes back they auto rejoin the top 6.
Failure to improve special teams while simultaneously pumping them (our powerplay is our toughness)

Its all ego, logic doesn't explain any of these decisions/points. It is a systematic bias towards pumping his bullshit gud pro narrative, and he has chosen to make decisions based on that garbage. That is a clear demonstration of how ego is winning out over logic, leading to the great demise of this team.

The proof is in the pudding, no other coach in the league treats his star young players worse than egocock.

I'm convinced that the lines are less of an issue and the way they approach offense as a whole is more of an issue.

Though having the best shooter on the team with the best passer is a good start but I'm not sure how long Babcock will keep M&M together sadly.

Leafs need to find a way to win tomorrow. Then they get a big break and hopefully get their shit together.

Maybe the guys going to the All star game can pick the brain of Crosby or someone who knows what it takes to win a cup.

Capitals play San Hose tonight. You'd think it'd be an advantage for the Leafs tomorrow... but who the hell knows with this team.

You never exactly explained how his philosophies are ego driven.

I predict that the MMM line becomes permanent and will be the turning point of our season. We will have a dominant #1 line. Tavares will still be great without Marner, but Matthews will start scoring tons of goals. I expect him to average over a goal per game from here playing with Marner.

Those two are meant for each other. They complement each other's style perfectly imo.

It was about this time of the year last season, where we were in a slump, Marner was on the 4th line, and then Babs finally changed up the lines and put him with Kadri and we took off and never looked back. Hopefully this is that turning point this year.

Lol, according to Babs philosophy Gretzky and Kurri should have never played together.

Hull and Oates? Forget it.

Why play Lafontaine and Mogilny together when you could separate them and have 2 balanced lines instead? My head hurts thinking about this

Isn't it reasonable to suggest that Tavares and Marner are our best two forwards?

Sorry, but Matthews has not done anything this season to prove that he is our best all around centre. At this point in their careers, Tavares is better.

Would seem to make more sense for Ovi to sit out against us considering it's a b2b
Wouldn't it make more sense to sit out the less-meaningful inter-conference game, as opposed to an Eastern battle though? The back-to-back argument makes sense, but he has a long break regardless and the extra game shouldn't be an issue.

I agree... but the problem is... they shouldn't have to get up for any game.

Every game should be like that. They should always be ready to go. I like Babs overall but start figuring it out.

The powerplay mind you... we don't get many opportunities but it's been terrible. That's on the assistants.

A lot of players are under performing in the last 10 plus games. More players then not.

They better figure out something quick. It was looking like a cake walk to the playoffs. It's going to be a battle now.
The problem is that they don't get a lot of PP's and they have limited game time practicing it.
This team needs to learn how to draw more penalties.
Perhaps Babs should take a page from the Italian soccer team training book

What does any of this got to do with having a big ego?
