I was screaming for Matthews and Marner together since the Babcock days, then Keefe got comfortable with them together and wouldn't break them up when the chemistry seemed forced.If Matthews/Marner are back together I'm not going out on much of a limb predicting another big game for both. I think they are clearly trying to force Berube to keep them together, and I can't really argue.
One of the best playmakers in the league paired with the league's best shooter? Kind of makes sense.
There has to be a middle ground imo. If it isn't working after 2 periods Nylander and Marner swap lines, can't be any more simple if you ask me. That goes for if you start the game with Nylander on Matthews wing as well. If offense ain't happening on any specific night, give it 2 periods (or less) and make the swap.
It's usually is a good little kick in the ass for both lines
