I like the confidence by coaches to put Lappy out at end of game. I know they are up 5-2, but that is a nice nod.
I watched Lappy a lot tonight. He was ok and one really bad turnover. What really stuck out to me though is that he is not good at moving without the puck. He was regularly in wrong place and looked lost. He is good when he caries the puck.
But at NHL level you need to be able to play away from the puck. Especially Caps systems which is fast moving. This is why I would keep him in Washington. He needs to learn this game and system. Even if from press box occasionally.
Big O and the Caps continue to own this league
Hope you are representing Caps gear tonight!
