We do need more physical.

Waiting for him to do what?
Yes. I am.These players play different roles. Are you walking away from Hathaway's physical, energy game? His 9 goals in 66 games is same as Burakovsky the season before while carrying 4th line mins.
No. He’s notWhat is the realistic plan with McMichael? Is he AHL eligible? I feel like him back in the O is just a waste of a year.

I’d venture if that was the case, McMichael would already be loaned to a European team.i think that its likely that neither the O nor the A will play next season

Drager mentioning that a lot of the remaining FAs are only being offered 1 year, 1 million deals anymore across the league. Thoughts on a Corey Perry deal? I didn't see he was still out there. Played well in the finals, always a pain to play against and annoying for other teams. I'd love to bring him in.
Dadonov
Granlund
Galchenyuk
Soderberg
Athanasiou
Duclair
Brassard
Haula
Sheary
Still a bunch of guys that would be a welcomed addition to this bottom 6

The ECHL just recently laid out a plan to play. I think NHL clubs are going to want the AHL to play to get their prospects as much playing time as possible. Only hurdle will be the independently owned teams (Hershey, Chicago, Milwaukee, etc) that have issues with it. My guess is that AHL squads end up playing only a handful of the closest geographical teams and have shortened seasons. So for Hershey they might only play Wilkesbarre, Lehigh Valley, Binghamton, Syracuse, etc. like 5-10 times to cut down on costs.
The O is already gearing up to play.
I agree with you on the A
I feel like that's a lot of money to move out when it seems like teams are pretty much done spending. Looks like everyone went and got what they absolutely wanted/needed and now would be content with what they have and are only willing to add dirt cheap deals based on the uncertainty of the market.I have been banging the drum for a 3rd line of Galchenyuk-Eller-Duclair for a while know. I know it means Hagelin and Panik have to move, but that is a great upgrade.
Isn’t Duclair the one Torts ripped into for not being a 200 ft player? Duclair has offensive upside but if he isn’t going to be semi competent at defending he isn’t going to get a spot in the bottom six. Sprong seems to be a very similar player anyway
He obviously has to earn it. I don’t think he’s guaranteed anything. My point is that he’s a very similar player to Duclair based on the fact that they have good wheels and skill but aren’t exactly known for their defensive zone play. I’d rather have a Martin or a Perry who are more physical and can grind down the opposition. Perry was on pace last year for 30 points and is just an overall pain in the ass to play againstI guess my stance on Sprong is im just not ready to hand him a 3rd line or even 4th line spot on a cup contending team based off a mini camp. I view him as the perfect 13th guy (if he earns it).
Duclair has some value, Galchenyuk offers nothing. I'd much prefer Hagelin-Eller-Panik. Duclair is a nice goal scorer, but he a liability defensively. Galchenyuk just flat out sucks, he really doesn't offer much especially at even strength. He gets his points on the powerplay, and there's not really room for him here on the PP.I have been banging the drum for a 3rd line of Galchenyuk-Eller-Duclair for a while know. I continue to be baffled by the Galchenyuk love as well. He's not good. Sprong/McMichael could offer the same offense as him. Panik is a more complete player and Hagelin can play defense and penalty kill. He's the type of player that should be in the top 6 of a bad team getting powerplay time. He should not be on this roster lolWhat exactly do people here see in Galchenyuk that i seem to be missing? He just isnt good and id much rather keep hagelin/panik over him.
