When did we get so sensitive about hits and collisions? We have Wilson and Ovie, who've terrorized the league, and now we want to get upset about a legal hit/collision. Physical hockey is the best, the kid needs to learn to protect himself. Also, if Wilson goes after Fantilli, then Olivier will pound on one of our guys. I hate all the outrage over legal hits.

we didn't, just a couple here upset it was against our kid, pretty normal stuff. I agree though!

Carbery has his hands full getting this teams head on straight. Sure they have a few guys out but they aren’t playing the 98 Red Wings.

Also, they need to toughen up. Complete lack of physicality. Get engaged. Playing through the motions gets you hurt.

I’m not sure Leonard has shown enough that he deserved a spot in the playoff lineup. If he does make it I figure he plays single digit minutes.

I’m sure that Wilson proffered a very polite query to the referee centering on whether he, Tom, also would be allowed to make the hit Fantilli laid on Leonard without consequence or sanction - which hurt the ref’s delicate feelings

This. Their xG% since the 4 nations break is much better (+1.5%) than it was before. They’re playing fine, the goaltending has just sucked (down from .923 before the 4 nations 5v5 to .881 after).

Last game was their biggest game in weeks in terms of it being a potential 2nd round matchup and although the first period sucked, they completely outplayed the Canes and deserved to win in regulation. And that was without their best winger, their number 2 D, and starting goalie. Today, they’re missing their 2 best wingers, number 2 D, and playing their 3rd string goalie on the road against a team trying to avoid being eliminated from playoff contention. This game means absolutely nothing.

This has been a concern for me too. Neither LT or Chucky have been as good as to start the season. We will need them to win a game or two and they have just been blah all over the place

A concerning thing about this team is that the group defense has looked plain bad whenever they have anyone besides Thompson backing the net. They’ve played noticeably worse on the majority of games in front of Lindgren this season.
