Chatfield is a coward. Big Mac or Willy should feed him his own teeth next game.
Doesn’t look like he has many left to offer lol. Side note the Wilson hate will always be there right, but gd I’m so glad that dude is on our team. A 30 goal scoring maniac, it’s hard for people to admit how much he’s cleaned up his game while still having to keep your head on a swivel. The crying about him just makes me smileChatfield is a coward. Big Mac or Willy should feed him his own teeth next game.
I think way too much is being made of this. Before this mini four-game slump they’d won eight or nine of their previous ten games and looked like a buzzsaw. Also, the more I watch the game, it feels like the whole damn organization, not just the team, is so invested in Ovi breaking the record that it is impacting the team's overall game.
Ovi's celly was very muted last night, obviously because we were getting our ass kicked. But the rest of the team was ecstatic.
It is what it is. They need this record broken asap so they can start playing hockey.
Looks like no supplemental disciple. Next Thursday just because must watch TV
Since we will certainly play against them in the 2nd round it's a good thing for us the "nastiness" because on the speed side they are much quicker than us at least on what we saw yesterday.Good... Chatfield is a bottom-pair nothing player. Not really a guy Canes would miss if suspended. Also we play them next week so only good thing he's playing there. Extra juice for Caps.
I think it’s both. The time available to get the record is tightening. The hype around it has become deafening. And everything you say is also true. Getting the record done is a priority because of the timing and because everyone on earth wants it done, including the team. I’m not worried about them finding their game, but getting 895 taken care of will absolutely help.I think way too much is being made of this. What’s far more likely is they have locked up the number one spot in the east and they’re getting every team’s best shot every night, especially from those still fighting for a playoff spot or playoff positioning (which are most teams in the East). That, and over the course of 82 games you’re going to have stretches where things don’t go your way.
This is a good take. It is also why they should suspend him for a couple of games because him being in the lineup is going to cause some nonesense!I'm glad there's no discipline for him, he wouldn't have been available for the next game against them probably. This opens him up for a beating.

I was aware he had kind of a f***ed up grill but good lord, I didn’t fully appreciate the teeth situation. You, uh, haven’t seen a picture of Chatfield’s teeth, have you.
It’s already a pretty gnarly situation. Big Mac or Willy could only help.![]()

Stuff of nightmares for a dentist.
We can do both. The bottom line is we didn't move our feet, which means we were chasing the game. Really bad to do that against Carolina. When we move our feet, we're usually finishing our checks too, which is us at our best. We can do that, and Wilson/Duhaime/McIlrath can punch a few people in their faces as well. The 2 things aren't mutually exclusive.I’m right now in the camp that of the guys want to get back at the canes, play better and don’t get disrespected all over the ice. Glad they were pissed, take that and play good hard hockey. I don’t need to see this team goon it up when we are trying to lock up the one seed
