It’s frustrating hearing all these fan bases tell the Avs we need a better goalie when goalie play is one of the foremost reasons the Avs are running away from the rest of the NHL for the Presidents Trophy. I’m going to assume you figured it was the Avs that added picks to replace Kuemper with MAF. Which is just completely preposterous.

You didn’t do your homework here.

the Habs fans try to sell us Price. I don’t think the Avs would take Price if Montreal included their 2022 1st unprotected. But the narrative the Avs playoff fortunes have died on the goalie hill is flat out wrong. The Avs lost to a really good Vegas team that tied them in regular season points. The Avs didn’t lose to some 8th seed. They lost to one of the NhLs best teams over the last three seasons. Was a team loss. It sucked but it wasn’t some goalie meltdown. Vegas just outcoached and outcompeted the Avs. Wasn’t Grubs fault. He was just a part of a much larger team letdown to a really good opponent.

The general idea would be a 3 goalie trade. Obviously there are more details needed to make it happen. Avs go for it having a Cup experienced goalie. Caps get the vet goalie they need. Hawks get a young goalie who might potentially be a better future option than Lankinen. Fleury's cap hit is $7 million, Kuemper's cap hit is $3.5 million and Samsonov's cap hit is $2 million. THIS NOT A GOALIE FOR GOALIE TRADE AS THE MONEY, PICKS, PLAYERS HAVE TO MAKE SENSE.

Why does the AVs do this? Kuemper is the better goalie with retention for the worst goalie with no retention.

You didn't follow the NHL until recently? Arizona fans loved Kuemper for a while.
