I can't believe there's people annoyed that he broke the record against us. A record no one believed would ever be broken, a Gretzky record, was broken in our building. Idk if you guys realize this, but that's the most memorable moment at UBS history so far in 5+ years. Not a Robert Bortuzzo 2OT goal to stave off a sweep. Says a lot about the success (lack thereof) of our own team in that span.

I'm delighted it happened in our building, our fans got to see history firsthand, and would sign up for it again a thousand times.

There is a handful of them on ebay but most want like 10k+ for them, only 1 of them as bids and it is current at 1k

I still have 1 puck that I caught during a game (Bob Kelly of PHI shot and Chico blockered it into the stands, right to me - didn't even hurt ). That one had an Isles logo on it.

I have a handful of pucks from warmups, but in the old days they had various markings, I think Cosby Sporting Goods most common. Do they now mark them with dates or something?

Yea, starting about 6 years ago all teams in the NHL have the date of the game and the logos on the warm up pucks, most teams will sell them after warm ups are done, some try and make money on it and some donate the money to charity, Isles donate it to charity (Islanders foundation) but they normally charge $25 for them and yesterday expecting increased demand they charged $375 for them

The bigger joke is the Capitals apparently confiscated a good amount of the warm up pucks as they wanted to sell them in auctions (in case Ovi broke it) so in warm ups they were using all kinds of random pucks and they still wanted to charge $375 for them

Thanks. You should sell yours before the frenzy wears off, or they start importing knock-offs from China. Oh wait, never mind that last part.
