Would think it increases chance of a goalie in particular getting hurt. If you're the Caps I'd almost consider going to Shepard now for rest of game. Backups are used to just coming in, goalies are not used to stoppages this long and resuming other than the intermissions

Every team out of playoff position is in the lottery. But you can only move up 10 spots. So at this point finishing 10 or 11 gives us a shot at 1st pick. So it does matter if that’s what someone wants. Just saying.
