Meh. I think you're upset for no reason and not appreciating how the NHL/sports work. They're trying to celebrate/sell the game 24/7. Ovechkin is an International superstar. Sorry, but Tsplakov is not.

Maybe if Lou built a more compelling team that was a hard-nosed playoff team they'd give the NHL/TNT more things to talk about. Alas we are a whipping boy for a Cup contender...And the coverage reflects that.

I actually love Ovi, and certainly understand the "selling of the game" angle in all of this, but can we pace ourselves a bit? No need to shoot our proverbial load in the first 10 minutes of the game.

I really like that kid Gatcomb.
Skates fast, smart positioning, always takes the body cleanly, and scores some goals.
Very good 4th liner. Hope Lou gives him a contract.
