My thought process is a losing streak might humble them a bit
Up and down game from Chych too. He was a mess defensively.
I'm not as quick to say LT had a horrible game
G1 - Makes the initial save and another on Tuch in front then Thompson finds it and roofs it from inside the crease
G2 - Partial breakaway maybe he was leaning but still just about a 1on1 which are probably 50/50 anyway
G3 - Deflection
G4 - Backhand that ok he probably should have had
G5 - cross ice pass that he got a large piece of
G6 - Breakaway
G7 - Deflection
Sure earlier in the season he probably makes one of those breakaway saves and probably the backhand from the slot. But 2 deflection goals against and a few PK goals against to me this isn't on Thompson the D left him out to dry plenty.

LT wasn't his sharpest but after looking at all 7 goals against him, maybe just one bad one where the Sabres had time between the dots(it was a 3 on 2 for the Sabres) to just put it above the leg pad inside the post. All 5 even strength goals and 2 PP goals against the PK, the team played very poorly in front of LT. To be more detailed, 2 deflections and 1 on a breakaway. I'm not sure Lindgren would have fared better.

Sucks going to a loss, but at least we were entertained. Ovie goal, Chych hatty watch, Pro beauty shorty.

Speaking as a goalie, no #1 goalie likes to be 5 days off between starts! LT played on the 25th, Lindgren on the 27th, and LT today on the 30th. The team hadn't played for 3 days, while the Sabres were already in rhythm playing yesterday.

Man it wasn't on him! The team sucked defensively bad today. Too many high danger chances allowed for the Sabres. If any goalie stops a goal on the 3rd rebound, a breakaway and 2 deflections, then that goalie had a phenomenal game!

When the list gets to 5 you’ve defeated yourself.
What you’re missing is that in several of these goals he’s sitting deep in his net and not taking away the angle from the shooter which is the hallmark of either a lazy or an insecure netminder. I’ll say lazy.
Yeah, he was bad. At least 3 maybe 4 were on him being subpar. He wasn’t the only one.
You score 5 goals at home to a non playoff team you should win.

100% agreed. I feel it's been "keep's off. Offense steps up. Defense is off? Gotta score, shut 'em down", etc. Yeah we scored but couldn't tend goal and couldn't defend today. Offense wasn't there at vital points it could've mattered to put Buffalo away. Don't lose sleep but don't forget it either come Tuesday.
