3 f***ing shots against the Washington Capitals. At home. In a game following the most putrid effort of the season.

Curious to see that timeline on Jack….wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to come back in 2 weeks…Nico no clue…

Just got home…this first period sounds awful..
Weekes has announced that he'll be back in 2 weeks.

The response to starting the season with real expectations was to be mediocre AF 5v5 and on D...and then the response to injuries was to completely shit the bed.

This is not the bill of goods I was sold for this season. This is f***ing unacceptable. Somebody start up the Fire Lindy chants again. f***.
This team’s C game, shit goaltending, and being injured to hell has equalled 15 points in 12 games.

I mean don’t get me wrong, the team is not doing itself any favors by having disastrous moments structurally. But the #1 glaring issue by far is the goaltending. And unless Schmid magically comes up with something, it’s a serious problem that will be difficult to overcome even when healthy (yes, I think it has been that bad). Which is why it is extremely concerning missing arguably your two most important pieces for at least a couple more weeks minimum.

Down 2-0 or not---

If Smith is not only skating for this team, but also on STs regularly, that's all you need to know. You're only as good as your weakest link. If he is out there, then there is a real problem that needs to be solved.

Im glad he's a great leader and that media and the staff loves him. Make him a coach then. But he doesnt belong on the ice this much of a supposed Cup contender.

It’s early and Jack and Nico . . . But what worries me about this game is that we are going to have a hard time making the playoffs without beating the teams in our own division. If we lose here we will have dropped half the season series with Washington before Thanksgiving. We just look lost. I’d feel a whole lot less depressed by this if we hadn’t already dropped a similar game to them.

We look like we have zero confidence right now. Somebody please step up and make a play or two.

Do italics on this board also mean sarcasm?

Honestly I don't give a shit about the record. Fifteen games in and they've played like shit at least 75% of the time and they haven't had a single great game at all. You can rest assured that this level of play continuing will result in the record evening out closer to what they deserve.

Its almost like
12 to 3...means you got ran through. But sure the goalie let up softies...

Getting outshot 4 to 1 had nothing to do with it lol
Why would getting outshot change the fact that he let up two soft goalies no ahl players.

Dropping games to the Caps only means we lost the points we could’ve gained. It’s not like we lost points to a team we’re competing with. The Caps are not going to be a playoff team. They might as well be a west team for the point you’re trying to make
