When we first got Zibanejad, I thought his sometimes passive approach could limit him to 60-70 points.

Remember when back then for a period of time Igor was seen as the least talented out of the 3 big Russian goalies (Shesterkin, Samsonov, Sorokin)? That would make me so mad back then, but oh boy does it feel great right now that he looks like the best one.

That was just nuts. That's also the kind of game that a team can really build off.

It seemed like Mika had 15 shots on goal. I've seen by the way all three times a Rangers player has scored 5 in a game. Don Murdoch did it in his rookie season and it was like his 4th or 5th (or something like that) NHL game and it was against the North Stars and I'm thinking it was away. That guy could have been a big star. I don't remember the team Pavelich got his 5 against. I always loved Pav as a player. Gutsy little guy.

Mika tonight---just f***ing amazing. If he hadn't missed those 13 games he'd probably be pushing towards 90 points right now and a shoo in to get over a 100. Panarin's passing is just outstanding. DeAngelo--another huge game. Those were my three stars.

I was happy to see Kakko make that big play on our 5th goal. I know they were saying he was a -3 but the Hagelin, Kovalchuk goals were on the other side of where his man was and I thought he played hard and pretty well.
