If they could just tighten up the defense and get Igor back in net we’ve got something going.

Except for the obvious culprit (we know who that is) the last two games I thought they played pretty decent defense against 2 of the better teams in the NHL. They deserved a much better fate on tuesday against the Blues.

A Top 5 goal scorer (who would be higher if he didn't miss time)

A defenseman who is top 5 in scoring in his position?

Lundqvist has to start next game. Not because Georgiev gave up 5. But We can't just throw him back in.

They have to give Georgiev a rest. To be frank, he has not looked sharp at all in the last two games. STL he did not face a ton of shots or high % chances. Tonight, while he made some nice saves, he also let in goals he should have had. Igor would have had.

The Flyers loss was not Hank’s fault. Give him the saturday game. Then go from there. See who starts next. Maybe its Hank against Dallas. Maybe its Georgiev.

Maybe its Igor next week...

I don't think ANYONE knew he'd turn into this.

I did. I'm usually even-keeled (though with a somewhat positive slant) regarding the team's moves, and I went friggin' bonkers when I'd heard we'd acquired him. The fact that we got a 2nd added to the deal in the process literally made me cackle.

EDIT: let me not say "knew". No one ever knows with young players. I strongly believed he could be.

Gorton has taken alot of abuse by some in here who's names will remain anonomys but we know who they are...well I at least recall and other than the Shatty signing who practically begged us to sign him and the Lias pick in a shitty draft, his moves since being given the keys to the car finally by Sather 5-6 years ago have been pretty much flawless.

I'm not going to go thru them all but we all know the great deals he's made and FA signings and this rebuild he's orchestrated has been nothing short of phenomenal.

We are very fortunate to have him bottom line!

I have no idea what the expected goals were for the game..but it seemed like.neither goalie could stop a f***ing beach ball tonight. Just a horribly goaltended game by both guys.
