Post-Game Talk: Capitals @ Rangers Game 6: HANK HANK HANK HANK!

Also, Boyle tonight, at the end of the game especially, is why I really can't stand the "he's not even that good defensively" posts.

He's got his flaws. But he's a darn good role player.

Mike Johnston said on TSN the referee told him he wasn't bleeding when he left the ice, which Johnston said wasn't true.

I saw Dorsett with red teeth and I thought the Rangers would get a 4 minute PP out of it.

Basking in the tears on the main board was fun, but I can feel my brain cells decaying.

They're convinced the NHL is trying to help us. Maybe if they were more disciplined, the series wouldn't be going to 7...

I haven't the slightest idea why anyone cares about the opinion of other fanbases, unless its in an honest assessment of a player.

If we win, or lose, not a lick of difference is made by either fanbase feeling they got screwed.

Do you guys think we win tomorrow?

I think 70/30 caps at this point. If Rangers can get some big goals, and get into the heads of the caps; they got a shot. Another possibility is Hank has a career game.

But, I think Caps are going to get their PP's, so I don't like our chances all that much. Not unless the Rangers can covert/create some consistent offensive pressure. They haven't been able to do that on the road at all. Torts, because he isn't going to get his line match ups, will probably play an overly defensive game.

Seriously, where did this mentality come from that teams have to be penalized?

I don't know but the same complaints were made after we had a game in which we went unpenalized against the Isles. The Rangers play even more disciplined against teams with lethal PPs? YOU DON'T SAY!

Well I thought the team was done after game 3 with the way they played. So I'm kind of shocked we're in game 7. Game 6 was the only time they outplayed Caps at ES, so I am not as optimistic unfortunately. I will go bet on the Caps tomorrow and hopefully will lose my cash. LGR....

Yep, and the only time you have to deal with them is when you go to their boards or the main boards. They drive me nuts, so I stay away from those places.

**** Holtby. Maybe he should of spent an extra 10 mins in the stands behind the net before the game then he might have had that one. The main board is a **** show as well. Caps fans are easily one of the most entitled fan-bases in sports. They act like they have had a dynasty with the Ovechkin era when they haven't won ****. Oh yeah congrats on 5 division titles in the past 6 years in the worst division ever in NHL history.

Game 7 will be tough. Could go either way. Not making any predictions. The Caps have a very good team. Guys like Brouwer, Chimera and Ward are playoff warriors. Also guys like Perrault, Johansson and Beagle are annoying.

On the Rangers end I'm amazed how good Brassard and Stralman continue to be. Zucc has also played very well. I just hope certain others that should be leading the charge step up.

I call it 70-30 Caps, when you consider our recent record in their building, and the home-away discrepancy of both teams.

I said before the series that this could very easily be one in which the home team wins every game. Only one we took last year in Washington was courtesy a Marian Gaborik 3 OT winner.

In short, unless we get really, really lucky, or unless Nash steps up big time, the odds are not in our favor. Should be fun, though.

Ribeiro has been Washington's best player by far this series. He is EVERYWHERE. Never seen him like this before.

I could see it. The Caps are making excuses, hopefully they keep taking dumb penalties.

They're also off their game and fuming right now, if Torts has even the slightest but if intelligence he will start Dorsett and tell him to hit anything that moves. Caps can't even look at him right now, reminds me of when Avery got whole teams off their game.
