Imagine who we have to lowball next year so we can fit in a goalie tandem of Blackwood/Vanecek for a combined $6.5-ish million per next year. At least $3 million for Blackwood. Especially if we miss the playoffs this year. How do you justify that?

He ain't Brodeur, he ain't Schneider, he might not even be decline era Schneider. He might go down as having no better of a career than Keith Kinkaid did in the NHL.

Just because he showed promise, teams will probably keep signing him the next few years after this. I just hope we're not one of them.
