Does the swarm include the center being behind the net too? Honest question. I thought the center is supposed to be in the slot.

F1 (in most cases the center) is supposed to engage in the battle if the puck is loose, but also guard net front.

Weakside winger is basically slot protection.

It's a bad system because it forces the forwards to make too many reads and switches in coverage.
