I liked it….
I fell asleep about after 35 minutes or so. I found it pretty underwhelming and too much star wars-esque. This is where reading science fiction books for a life time really is difficult seeing so much better epic space opera stories that are out there.

Meh I’m not buying the “too much like Star Wars” complaints. So we can never have an evil empire or a rebellion again? Foundation is the same basic premise.

I watched the first half last night and finished it today. I enjoyed it, but wasn’t wowed, but that’s ok. 3.5/5 for me….

I'll definitely give it another full watch before a finale take. Admittedly might had higher expectations based on the trailer/hype.

I watched the entire thing but about an hour in I was bored to tears. Not much character development or world building.

Finished Bojack Horseman Seasons 1-4. Season 1 was great, Season 2 and Season 3 were kind of unremarkable, a lot of filler episodes. But Season 4, Season 4, at last the pay off. Tremendous episodes, especially the ones relating to Bojack and his mother.

Saltburn - wow ... you suffer through 3 or 4 bad indie movies to find the gems and this is a gem.

real mind f***er psychological thriller type. i started at midnight with a perfect toasted brain, fire going, craft cocktail in hand.

like a really dark twisted talented mr ripley ... there are parts that are hard to watch, uncomfortable

Directed by Emerald Fennell (who did Promising Young Woman .. which was also great indie flick)

wild tech…not for me yet, but you can see where things are headed…

@usiel
I was a bit more into the MLA adoption into the 83" LG G4/M4 TVs as far as new for this year, heh. Since my my old B7 is feeling a bit long in the tooth. I'd prefer something in the 90"+ size but those are crazy expensive AND don't have MLA yet. The wireless HDMI connection seems pretty cool though it is just the 2nd generation of that so feels like too early.

That transparent tech is pretty scifi though. Can imagine a lot of situations especially if it can be touch sensitize. Thats the whole scifi control services that appear to be blank unless fired up.

I drool at the idea of the 90” even though I already have an 86”. 90 must look huuuuuuuuge on a wall.

Don't even care that the below is not an OLED but 115" is a beast. When I helped my dad update his TV a couple years back there was like a 92" sitting on the floor and the sheer scale blew me away.

I was curious in today's dollars how much I paid for the 60" Kuro Elite back in 2009 ($5,500) and that is almost 8k dollars which kinda blew me away.

115 wow….that’s a beauty.

I have to admit I find it triggering the over concern about OLED and NITS/brightness to be fairly ridiculous but it seems to keep getting worse.

This is on my list to watch.

Watched Anatomy of a Fall and Past Lives. Both really well made movies.

Stuff like Saltburn is admittedly the type of genre I have to be in a certain mood for. At some point I'll give it a watch.
