Oh I agree completely, he had to go. The way it was handled was about as poorly as I've ever seen a coach treated though. Leaked weeks in advance that they were hiring Tocchet. Bruce may have deserved to be fired, but he seems like a great person and he was dragged through the mud on his way out.

Probably has nothing to do with Rutherford gutting the Pens skill/speed for toughness because of Tom Wilson. Who Rutherford had repeatedly called out in press conferences to thrash and threaten him. Just threw away everything from players and assets for nothing. Rutherford after the 2 cups sabotaged the Pens solely because of personal feelings, evidenced by his trades and spreading false gossip about Pens players.
