NYI is such a badly run team, what are they doin

Carolina seems like a solid fit for Miller.
 
Carolina imo would 100% be the cup favorite if they added Miller


I'm sure Carolina saw Saturdays game where Miller went 10 for 10 in the faceoff, 2 assists and hit everything moving in the first period. He then proceeded to line match vs Mcdavid and Drai and did amazing 5 on 5.


A team like Carolina whose cup window lines up to JT Miller prime years 2-3 years id say, should most definitely be all in on Miller.

So the offer is thought to be something close to Chytil / Lindgren / 1st for JT Miller and the holdup is the protection on that first rounder.

Chytil / Lindgren / 1st top 10 protected would work for me. I'd be willing to add other picks should the 1st kick to the next year. Honestly, I'd love to give K. Miller or Othmann (maybe a small add there) away and keep the first.

I believe Sykora and Chmelar are involved too.


Its why they were scratched for the Saturday AHL game along with Groulx.

Groulx was the one that was going to replace Chytil for NYR before Miller can there .

1st Round Pick, Filip Chytil, Ryan Lindgren, Adam Sykora & Jarslav Chmélar for JT Miller is a horrible horrible trade for NYR.

We are not in a position where 'just 1 player' puts us as an automatic contender. Out aging core needs changing massively, everyone knows this and Drury even openly stated it.

But what does he do? Oh let's give up a bundle of assets for another soon to be 32 year old aging player in a hefty contract.

He's not going to play the powerplay over Q Hughes. Heck he wouldnt event play the 2nd unit PP over Hronek.

Our coach wouldnt play Branstrom when he was with the big club. Branstrom is clearly too good for the AHL.

I think Willander is someone that will be more all situation RD which will force Morrow to be in the same situation and be stuck in the AHL.

Carolina should definitely move Morrow tho and get value for him for somone that can help them win the cup now.

Of course it would work for you, that's a terrible offer for Miller even under these circumstances.

You guys shouldn't even be trading for Miller. You don't have the pieces available or the position to pull the trigger. He would just waive his NMC to go there.

Nobody thinks that. Lafrieniere + Schneider would be a ridiculous return for a 32 year old JT Miller even without a NMC.

On the other side of things, Lindgren + Chytil + 1st is worse than what we gave up to get Elias Lindholm last season, an unhappy player who wanted a trade to a playoff team.

There needs to be value for a proven 80-100 point player, no matter the circumstances. Canucks would be better off keeping him and sorting this out in the off-season. Season isn't really salvageable anyways at this point.

I dont mind the 1st, chytil, lindgren, sykora, chmelar offer.

I believe the Canucks are very much into Lindgren as they see him as a Tanev type.

The idea is probably to have Lindgren play with Q Hughes which will then allow Hronek to carry his own line.

Chytil would be the temporary 2nd line C

Van would then also have 2x first round picks at their disposal to really go for it at the TDL or to reload in the off-season and bring in some big names.

I'm somewhat warm to the idea of Chytil, Lindgren, a prospect or 2 and a first..........althou in theory we SHOULD be able to do better than that.

WE gotta pray to god that with Miller gone and not barking in his ear that he regains his offensive form though......if not it will be reallllllll ugly for us. We ain't replacing Miller........nope
 
Something around JT Miller for K'Andre Miller and Will Cuylle, feel free to add spare a part or draft pick if necessary.

I could see Schneider instead, being a decent young RHD but I'd aim a bit higher.

Don’t Ranger fans want to get rid of Lindgren for nothing ? Maybe I am mixing up the player , but I thought he was one of the biggest whipping boys on the team and is blamed for dragging down Fox and the rest of the team by being garbage? That offer is terrible . Chytil is one big hit away from shattering into a million pieces , Lindgren is simply not good. Only value is the 1st and Sykora . I hope my Devils beat that offer simply so it doesn’t hand the Rangers a 100 point C for a bunch of Meh .
Same goes for Carolina . If they get JT for a pile of Meh , I’ll be pissed . No way the Devils can get passed a JT lead Canes team in the playoffs . The Devils won’t beat them as is unless they add someone like JT themselves. Adding him to the Canes is an automatic Cup finals appearance for the Canes IMO.
I’d offer up Mercer and Casey. Only thing is who would be needed to be added to make the cap work .

Hamilton - won’t waive plus him plus Mercer plus Casey is an overpayment.

Palat - can’t see VanC taking him

Tatar - not sure if it’s enough salary.

Make a EA sports video game trade
Miller plus Boeser for Nemec Mercer Gritsyuk and a 2nd

I know a lot of Rangers fans have soured on K'Andre but I can't see both those guys going. I feel like you'll get one guy of that caliber and a 1st and/or some second tier prospects.
