I don't think you know what escrow is.....

That's not what escrow is.

This explains a lot of these comments lol.
Yeah we get what escrow is, they got rid of it because all the money owed to owners are paid back and moving forward, at least for now, there is no need to hold money because hockey revenue big enough that there is no longer a need to put money in escrow because they can’t foresee paying players more than 50% of hockey rev.
Seems like you are the one that doesn’t get it.

Pavel Zacha is a 40 point 3rd liner without Pastrnak. Trent Frederic is a bottom 6 impending UFA, he’s worth around a 3rd round pick. Brandon Carlo is an extremely one dimensional defenseman, doesn’t help the Canucks’ lack of puck movement from the backend one iota. It’s an awful offer.
Three strikes and you are out.

Escrow isn’t what the players owe to the owners, exactly. It’s held back in the event that they end up owing money at the end of the season to make sure the split stays 50/50. In other words, escrow is withheld *just in case* they owe the owners at the end. They’re only ending escrow for this season because they already know that the players won’t owe the owners anything at the end. It’ll be back next year.

No shit?

What are they giving up for Miller?

The only assets that would be a worthy return are listed on your roster.
Coyle, Lysell and Carlo. Although could be Zacha not Coyle which is a big jump in the Canucks favour.

I just want to know what game Petersson and Miller are on opposing teams so I can call in sick to work and prepare all day to watch it.

February 17th
Boston Garden
Four Nations Cup
Sweden vs. USA.

Yeah if that's the case you would have to think that there's a bit more value coming from somewhere.......Chytil makes a lot of sense...........him and some AHL fodder you would think wouldn't quite make it happen unless Miller has only stated he's willing to go to the Rangers and the Nucks are that desperate to get rid of him............who knows however at this point I would still have to think there is more coming back then that.

If we're using the guys in Hartford being scratched as speculation, then the deal was most likely Sykora, Chlemar, and Chytil as the main pieces for Miller. Groulx was the last call-up when Chytil was hurt since they wanted a back up at center in case he couldn't play. Had the Rangers been trading a winger from their main roster it stands to reason they'd bring Berard back up since he was really solid in his last stint with the big club.

I expect fans of both the Nucks and the team JT eventually goes to to be disappointed in the deal.

It’s usually the case.

Allvin is going to give him away but he will likely want ready/close to ready players in return.

Nope not how it works. Escrow still exists. You just don't know what it is.
