I have been thinking that IF a Canucks/Bruins trade was going to happen, both teams would be sending guys down for cap purposes and then pulling the trigger AFTER the Mom's trip. On the main board I suggested any movement would start Sunday. Both teams send players to waivers today...

canucks don't need a 25 minute a night left hand dman and it would cause them to underutilize dahlin or highes is they did this. they are better off acquiring power or byram for less treasure and cap hit.

as for buffalo, ep40 makes sense as the main piece in a dahlin trade and is more or less what they need to get for him as the main piece.

Personally I'm a huge EP40 fan so that's who I'd hold onto of the two of them if I were Vancouver.

I think trading him brings a lot more risk and you're unlikely to get a player for player deal because of the caliber of player and nature of his contract, so it's more than likely to be an amalgam of assets.

My bad for some reason I assumed he was Right cause Power is Left. The amount of valuable right handed D in this League are so low.

I’d still do it for EP40+a bit. But probably wouldn’t throw Garland in. Being right handed puts his value much much higher.

Dahlin isn’t a fit in Vancouver. Hughes is the #1 D there. Dahlin would be wasted.
