Anahiem is a juggernaut team in the making. There are 6 good teams in the central.

Not sharing your optimism about Anaheim. They strike me as the Western Conference version of Buffalo....some good young players but seriously lacking depth.

And there 'may' or 'may not' be six good teams in the Central. But all you have to do to make the playoffs in the West is finish as one of the top-three teams in the Pacific. So the target should be Edmonton and L.A.

Maybe he will have a chance to play for Sweden in the WCs and chose that, if they did indeed ask him.

I know the Canucks are 'down and bit out' at the moment. But when you look around this Pacific Division, there are really no 'juggernauts' in the making.

In fact when you break down teams like Edmonton, L.A. and even Vegas, I think Vancouver has a lot better future than all of them. The Canucks enter this off-season as the 5th-6th youngest team in the league. And their blueline is absolutely stacked.

And their problems up front are fixable. Heck, guys like Lekkerimaki, Karlsson, Sasson and even Mueller and Klimovich might be a lot closer to the NHL than we think.

They do need more size and grit in their forward group. But it's hardly impossible to find those type of players. And they enter the off-season with ton of cap space for the first time in years.

If they can rebuild the forward group the way we’ve quickly done for our d group, things will look good.

Interested to see what his plans are this summer. Would like to see him at a development camp or a strength and conditioning camp.

Hopefully the management team has some plans for him. Would love to see him start next season with the same level of play that he's ending this season.

He's 185 lbs now as per the NHL website. 190-193 would be great at 2 years old.

You are getting your Pettersson's mixed up - the Defenceman is well over 200lbs........I would guess he's 215ish now if not more. He's a really big kid and could see him playing at 220-225 lbs if not more once he's matured.

It’s easier to build a forward group via free agency and trades. It is extremely hard to build a good defence with good goaltending though.

They didn't send him down so he could participate in the playoffs and had kept him up numerous times prior when they could have sent him down to accrue more capspace. Seems they made the decision he was an NHLer pretty quickly.

They have really not built the D group.

They just shifted value from the forward group in Horvat and Miller to their D group in MP and Hronek. And are a less talented team over all.

Yes that's 100% wrong, maybe from 3 years ago - several other sites have said he's 209lbs. He's a big boy I've seen him in person no way he's below 200lbs - as mentioned I would think by the time he's fully matured he can top 220lbs

Junior Pettersson was drafted at 6'2 185lbs but is up to 6'3 209lbs. Elite Prospects has the most accurate, publicly available, heights and weights.

Im really curious where his heights actually at. Though it might be like Edler back in the day, Canucks listed him 6’3 215lbs his whole career but if you got a program at the game he was 6’4 220lbs. Then when he went to LA he was 6’4 215

I remember arguing about Podkolzin's height. This one is definitive, EP25 is a big 200+ guy. he's pretty much exactly what every team needs on D, just need to work on puck skills.
