That's about where projections were for him on a deal with term. Can't overstate the importance of having a good, steady partner for Hughes, either. 26-year-old, right shot, right-side defenders are hard to get.

I don't think it's a bargain, but I think it's a decent contract and value for an almost impossible to replace commodity.

Second half of the season and playoffs were disappointing but the injury rumblings seem too obvious to be false. Haven't had an RHD this good since young Tanev either.

Probably market valueish to a slight overpay. Could look really good in a few years when contracts rise. If he was just playing through an injury and is closer to the player he was in the first half than the second than this contract will be a steal.
