Solid deal, people saying a touch much always look at contracts from 2 years ago instead of looking forward.

Quality bottom 6 contributor who plays the way management and Tocchet wants. His speed is a much needed element.

O’Connor, Joshua and Sherwood are a great collection of bottom 6 wingers who are good at getting results at ES (fourth guy will likely be a ~1 million dollar replacement level guy). Next stop is fixing that top 6.

Guentzel wouldn't have signed here.

If we acquired him at the deadline and gave him a huge offer from the get-go? Feel like the chances would have been higher than 50%. Guentzel should have been the target, not Lindholm.

Carolina was penny pinching Guentzel so he walked away.

I'd rate this signing as "fine."

Probably a bit higher AAV than I'd ideally like, but not so much an overpay that it's going to have any significant impact on upgrading other roster slots.

Probably would have preferred 3 years at that AAV, but better 2 years than 4 so I'll take it.

Like the way he's looked so far. Like the size and speed he brings to the lineup. Now I'd like to see some STs utility added to his game.

Fine with this, not gonna quibble over a few 100k.

Rather just get him locked in than risk the likes of EDM or VGK going after him like they were rumored to be before we traded for him.

Lol, after losing our prized acquisitions last season in Lindholm and Zadorov to the Broons, Ruthervin aren't taking any chances on these guys being rentals.

Good value. I would have gone another year with him on that AAV for sure, but you can't complain.

Both O'Connor and Marcus Pettersson would have been solid 'rental' pickups from the Pens. But now that they're both signed to extensions, it was an excellent piece of work by Allvin.

Not only did he acquire two very good NHL players--he also jettisoned the second years on contracts for Heinen and Desharnais. And almost as importantly, managed to retain the Canucks 2025 first rounder.

If the Rangers continue to flounder down the stretch, the conditional first rounder the Canucks acquired from New York and then flipped to Pittsburgh, will probably slide to 2026 anyway.

Good signing. He's still fairly young with size and speed, is a good on the forecheck, and defensively decent.

With the cap going up, he might have received a little more money and term in the summer.

$20Mish in cap space next year really with only Boeser, Lankinen and Suter to sign if they choose to. There's room to add one $8M guy if they decide to keep everyone else.

CAP is climbing. Cheap pretty low risk deal for a player that will have some stretches of good play. He's getting way more as a UFA.

I don't think Suter is coming back. Could easily see a 3x4M deal for him and I think they can find better use of that money.

4/6 of the bottom 6 come to $9 mill. Probably capping the bottom 6 spending with 13/14 forward as well at like $13 mill total. So have like $4 mill left for the final 4 spots on next years roster. 13/14 F at like $1.6-$1.7 mill. The 11-12 F at like $2.4 mill between them. So really at most 1 guy at like the Sherwood/Suter cap hit.

Will need to upgrade the top 6F.

Definitely dodged a bullet with Lindholm.

This is a good deal, incredibly low risk given our cap situation for next year. Going to need to get a legit top 6 center and figure out what the heck we have in Pettersson and Boeser moving forward, but our middle/bottom 6 have a lot of nice pieces with DOC and Sherwood etc.
