faceoff numbers seem to indicate kyrou almost never actually plays center, but maybe he's a better fit with petey and between the two of them we could actually have a first line center.

aside from his first few games in the NHL he’s never played center from what I can tell doing some research. But Kyrou would be a very good target for us and could be a Boeser replacement.

• Latest loss effectively put them in the sellers market
• There’s interest in J.G. Pageau
• Will be open for business to a certain extent
• Winnipeg, Dallas, and Colorado have interest in Nelson; wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto gets in the mix

Florida Panthers

• Wouldn’t surprise anyone if they get aggressive
• Looking for goaltending depth

Boston Bruins

• Listening on Brandon Carlo; Calgary has inquired
• Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau are in-play

Vancouver Canucks

• Thinks it’s a possibility that Boeser gets traded
• Boeser wants a 7-8 year contract
• Boeser is in play and the Canucks will listen; are not aggressively trying to trade him
• Have been looking for scoring winger for some time
• In the market for a centre
• Want to add and don’t want to negatively impact their playoff push

I guess if the history of the NHL proves anything, it's that anyone can be traded, even guys like Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, Esposito etc.

But jettisoning an $11.7m contract in this tight salary cap world would border on a miracle. So unless the Canucks were willing to retain salary (which would be a poor decision), EP40 isn't going anywhere.

They think the reason it’s quiet is because mgmt is working on two deals.

One to trade Boeser.

The other to acquire a C with assets from the Boeser deal.

Just trying to lock down the C deal framework before they pull the trigger on the Boeser deal.

But I haven't watched him enough to know more than that. Scouting report?
