Looks like Brock is on the move, but nothing big will happen like petey.

But as long as Brock is signed for a good deal or move, I’m happy at the tdl

This is probably the most reasonable option. Team is falling out of the playoff race so Boeser should be moved. Either parlay these assets into a better player or try to sign one in UFA.

Pettersson should not be moved for lesser pieces that will have us in the same position regardless, and could end up looking really bad if he rebounds next season.

Move Soucy if you can clear cap space for next season. Demko is worth squat.

- Canucks looking to add another forward ideally a centre (I assume this is in addition to a Boeser replacement should he be traded)
- not close to re-signing Suter, not an easy gap to bridge

He also just reiterated all the stuff we've already heard about Boeser and EP40.

I like some pieces but not the whole deal.

That’s not what Kyper said on the Halford and Brough show this morning. He said he’s leaning towards Canucks keeping Boeser as their own rental even if he walks for nothing.

The reason is because that scenario is worth the couple of home playoff games to ownership.

Looks like Aquaman values a quick buck over a Cup.

It's why we'll never win. 2011 was our last chance

Just deal Boeser already.

He's not going to get signed reupped by Friday so trade him while you can get some good assets back.

Flip them for a C.

I'd still target Hayton.

Dhaliwal...way to go out on limb! JFC.

To me there are only two options. Trade or sign. They must not go past the deadline with an unsigned Boeser on the roster.

If Boeser walks and we didn't trade him I'm becoming an Oilers fan. That's how low I am on this franchise right now. I can handle alot but c'mon letting a prime asset walk for 2 playoff games is completely moronic and I'm not supporting a franchise with no brains.

(This is half sarcasm, but also not really)

If you let Boeser walk, you're 'trading' him for whatever we sign with the $7 million in cap space. In a capped league it isn't like value just disappears and he's getting replaced with a minimum-wage AHLer.

This organization has been like a bottom ten organization over the past 13 years or so, and we have sold at the deadline the likes of Vanek, Motte and Schenn.

Am I missing anyone of note?

It's so stiflingly, stupid, and piss poor team management.

We do this all the time and kill any chance of being good in the future, and yet we as fans all come back to watch the next iteration of mediocre. Why on earth don't they just do the right thing for the team for once?

True but if you trade him, assuming it's for futures, you get those assets and the cap space.

Unless every team interested in Boeser is expecting us to take a bad contract with term back, but I doubt that's the case.

Not hearing the Canucks and Brock Boeser are close on a new deal.

Could go 3 ways this week - sign, trade him or keep him. - Dhaliwal

Thanks, Rick.

Reminds me of Robin Williams' bit on the Director of Homeland Security in the aftermath of 9/11.

"I don't know where. And I don't know when. But something awful is going to happen. Thank you, no questions!"

I interpret that differently.

Looks more like they are prepared to keep Boeser and let him walk if he wont take less term
