The one Hughes buddies i really want has the last name Tkachuk.

Also haven't seen an ad in years, just type whatever i think @rypper tells you to into your phone et voilà.

On android:

- connections (wifi Bluetooth etc)
- more connections settings
- private dns
- put in "dns.adguard.com" (no quotations)

Never have to deal with the invasive hf ads ever again.

The ads on mobile have ruined this site, especially in the past 3 days. I get half screen ads that move around and I can’t X out of
my big issue using my phone, is that at the top of the thread, the ability to select what page you wish to go to isn't an option, where that function is still available on the website. I find that bothersome and wonder if there are plans to correct it?

I actually meant to pass on that feedback, but instead I'm just complaining to a bowl of soup.

In regards to Marcus Pettersson. I was looking at the free agent classes for 2025 and 2026. The defence class looks pretty sparse. Gavirkov looks like he will head to free agency, Ekblad and Provorov are going to want to get paid way to much based on there level of play. Chychrun would be a fool to not resign and Anderson looks like he will resign with the Flames. Other than that I don’t see many top 4 options.

It was almost the same last offseason too, just not a lot of top4 D and all of them will cost A LOT. Might as well get one of the best one now and especially one that management team already had a good relationship with and extend him.

Is Roope Hintz a realistic target? Signed until he’s 34 at @ $8.45M. 6’3 215lbs with speed.

Yeah but we gotta dump him at 32-33

I hate to say it because it looks dire from the outside, but JR is running a masterclass behind the scenes it sounds like. I was wrong about him.

Trading that Rags pick is going to bite us in the ass.
In typical Canucks fashion Marcus Pettersson will walk as a UFA and that pick will end up winning the draft lottery in 2026, giving Pittsburgh their next face of the franchise in Gavin McKenna. Also Melvin Fernstrom is going to become a perennial 40 goal scorer.

With the salary cap increase + how desirable they are as a free agent destination I think its a safe bet to say they'll be hovering around a wildcard position next season. Their core is old and stale, but has enough talent to avoid completely bottoming out.

they have no real cap space even with the increase

on paper they have just under 20m but they need to resign kam, cuylle and kaliyev and then add 4 forwards, 3 defenders and a backup goalie on top of that

Great catch, I was looking at the same. MP wasn't really a guy I had in mind earlier but when you look at what's going to be available, and some of his numbers and history with Allvin and JR, and it made a ton of sense. Hopefully they can get a deal done quickly.

Glad PDG cleared, hope he’s a big boost in Abbotsford.

I remain convinced that if we are targeting a scoring forward, Dylan Cozens is the guy. Ticks all the usual boxes for Allvin and Rutherford - big body, centre, might come at a discount given his sub optimal play.
As long as it doesn’t include Willander in the deal to acquire, then sure.

Can i please have context of that benning clip

“It’s my job to create an environment where the players feel safe,"

This is a wild Allvin quote from the press conference we kind of glossed over. Were player(s) feeling unsafe?

Zegras is buddies with Hughes isn't he.
That comment was intriguing based on my own personal speculation on something i heard

Half of me would be fascinated if the truth ever came out but i wont expect it to.

For some reason Buffalo fans don’t like Cozens. They keep saying he makes everyone else around him bad, but I think a change of scenery might do it.

Some of the team being mad Miller traded doesn't surprise me. Hockey players are dumb and don't know what's good for them.

Someone said this is a fake and was just tweeted by some Edmonton guy. So I am taking it with a grain of salt until it’s linked or I see it.

If true I totally get it. Most guys have friends and when you are as good as Miller is people will be sad to see you go.

I've been thinking this is the crux of it all. It's okay to be 'hard' but you need to maintain a level of respect and can't dump on guys in public. (Praise in public, reprimand in private)

Individually I'd guess Miller is friendly to some, but I'm sure he must have disrespected/insulted enough in public that people thought it toxic.
