Not commenting on the report, commenting on fans who want it to happen. Good luck getting back a return that will help this team more than Garland does. 5'7 wingers don't usually bring back fair value
He’s also been the team’s best forward this year, which maybe isn’t saying much, but if you’re trying to compete no way you move him unless it is for a massive overpayment or an upgrade.

A NJD thought

Boeser at 75%, variable on return for Silayev and next year's 2nd.

NYR

Boeser at 50%, variable on return for
Oh my this is going to be complicated

This is a rather hilarious follow-up post to this one:

From the way Cam is confidently tweeting, it seems like he has a decent connection to the front office. Could be management using the media to drive up Brock’s return.

This team needs a big top 6 C among other things.

Get byfield. Find a way allvin

They should trade ep40 but they probably wont so:

Byfield
EP40
Chytil (suter maybe traded)
Blueger

Insulting post from a Mod cool

Smart GMs only sell depressed assets right?

You were done with Pettersson correct?
Why would they trade their best RD who’s signed long term at a reasonable cap hit? They just fixed the defense and now you’re suggesting that they undo that and create a massive hole on the right side with Myers being our only RD.

Alvin is a quietly trying to figure out if rantonen will sign here

😆
Ya, probably waiting to see if he will accept coming here so he will do nothing while waiting to find out. "We ran out of time"

How about some other Benning sayings too?

We let didn't make the trade because the value wasn't there for the team, on Boeser who later walks for nothing.
Nobody would pay my over rated prices, we are better off getting nothing. That makes the build much longer and appreciated of how hard it is to build a winner, so be happy for just trying instead of doing. Anything is not better than nothing just so I don't look like the rest of the league thinks me soft and easy to dupe.

I think Rantanen is holding up the market, and we WILL see Boeser moved likely tomorrow morning.

This is what I speculated on yesterday. Canucks other trade assets play in different oceans. Boeser would be the back-up option for those that don't land Rantanen. Biggest issue is I wouldn't be surprised if the Hurricanes hold on to Rantanen but don't tell teams that's their intention and just string everyone along.

Tulsky making Rutherford/Allvin's lives miserable for a 2nd straight TDL

Teams Are Calling
  • Wouldn’t be surprised if teams are calling on Garland and the Canucks have to listen
  • Teams have noticed Garland’s play this year
  • Calling Vancouver because they aren’t in a playoff position
  • Mentions that teams ask for Myers, Garland, etc.; playoff guys
  • Hughes, Hronek, Lankinen, and Marcus Pettersson are the untouchables
  • Teams are calling on Forbort
  • All their UFAs are getting calls
Soucy
  • Canucks and his agent haven’t had contact all week
  • Thought he would only waive for a Western Conference team but has been told that he would be more open to other scenarios
Willander
  • Signing could be around the corner; his playoffs start next week
  • Trading Soucy & Forbort opens up space for Willander to get some playing time
Suter
  • No contract talks

No contract talks for Suter probably means he’s gone tomorrow. Sad.
