I’ve seen enough of Hoglander. Canucks need to trade him in a change of scenery deal.

His IQ is not there and won’t ever excel under Tocchet - bro is the opposite of whatever “little things” is. Bad turnovers when he just needs to dump the puck in. Too erratic with the puck. Overrated offensive skills… also hella undisciplined Decent forechecker and can drive play a little but you can’t trust someone like Hoglander in the playoffs.

Don’t think management’s ego would allow them to trade Hoglander away for free but that’s honestly not a bad outcome.

Hoglander for Dach? Bunting? Novak? Quinn? Rasmussen? Idk anyone

made a good case for themselves tonight. forbort should stay imo.
Agree, he's become stable back there after playing a bunch of games - Was shaky to start the year but got his game going.

They're not going to get enough for him to make it worth getting rid of him. He stabilizes and is great on the PK. It's become a strength for them over the last 15-20 games or so.

I wonder if Jacks second shoulder surgery gives them second, or third thoughts on acquiring norris.

Also still wouldn't be surprised if we took on Mittelstadt after moving Pius.

that first part of the season he had injuries and his dad passed away thats gotta be tough on him. resign him to a 2 yr deal for pk stability and physicality.

Only issue is that it sort of blocks D-Petey. Think we need him to play steady minutes.
Can he play the right side at all? Or Forbort?

Hope they groom D-Petey into a PKer, he’s got all the intangibles to be a good PKer.

Forbort/DPetey - Hronek
MP-Willander

With D Petey and Forbort rotating in and out?

forbort does play both sides but his strong side is left. depetey can play both so i dont think its blocking anyone. willander needs a full season in abbotsford Unless he blows the roof off in training camp next year.

Hoping some teams with injuries on the back-end snipe Soucy.

Replacing Soucy with Forbort at half the price is a major win.

What are people’s thoughts on an Evander Kane for Carson Soucy swap? Maybe make EDM throw in a mid pick (2nd/3rd)?

Vancouver probably is on his NTC but Edmonton would save some cap and upgrade their defense.

Kane gives us speed, physicality and goal scoring prowess. One year after this at 5M so not a long-term commitment. Creative way to get a second line forward by effectively giving up nothing.

No but I would do Soucy for one of Skinner or Arvidsson.
