Only as speculation. I haven’t heard anything credible from the usual insiders. I don’t think it would be crazy if he was traded.
I feel like I remember Dhali saying the canucks asked about Tuch and were shut down

There was some Sabres fans posting on the trade board that his wife was from Vancouver and rumor is she's pushing to come home. Wouldn't say no depending on cost.

My point is that Dhaliwal isn't necessarily 100% credible. He could just have bad sources. We don't know who he spoke to with the Canucks, or whether he spoke to anyone with the Canucks. He could have got the information second hand.
I agree that is a bit puzzling. It may be that it was such a minor injury that management was never made aware. But you would think they were aware of all players' injury statuses.

My post was questioning the theory that the Canucks medical staff / management somehow don't currently know of an existing injury that actually has existed for like a calendar year, and which has been acknowledged and discussed by the player, the coach and the media, and which is currently a signficant factor in their highest paid player scoring at half his expected rate. Like, its a wild theory in my view.

I get that medical staff, and by extension, a management team, could miss and not know of a new injury to a player, for whatever reason, but that's not what we are talking about right now.

Allvin and the medical staff know about the injury (Tocchet said the MStaff discussed it), they just didn't think they had to shut him down.

Pettersson directly conflicting their understanding is not puzzling, it's illuminating. They disagree.

Dhaliwal is 100% a credible source. It's just unlikely he is filtering information from Pettersson.

I disagree with Teravainen as a specific target but I don't think this forward group (and team in general) is soft at all and if anything we actually need some skilled guys up there.

We're like 3rd in hits/game, for the record.

He wont fix our scoring issues but I really hope mgmt signs Mathieu Olivier this offseason. Love what he would bring to our bottom 6. Brazeau and Mangiapane are 2 other guys I would look at too

Also have a gut feeling we're going to sign Roslovic this summer....

Florida recognized Huberdeau's faults, even after a 115p season, and fleeced Calgary, then won the cup.

EP's issues were on full display during his 100p year, and early the next. It should have been seen and acted upon. Could have gotten an absolute haul. Star winger, #3d +

Would have been able to give Bo his 8milly and run JT-Bo each with a top tier winger.

Now we've waited too long, blown 2 Norris campaigns from Hughes. It doesn't really matter what happens, none of the even remotely available names move the needle much to come out of the West.
You are crazy if you think that anyone would have traded Skinny after his 102 pts season. At that point he was the best player on the team and making 7 mil. No GM would make that trade. There was no one at that point in the NHL with similar production of the same age or younger to trade him for.

Huberdeau was 29 and traded for another 104 pts player that is 5 years younger who wanted out of Calgary. It was similar to our Bertuzzi for Luongo trade where Florida got fleeced because Iron Mike had a hard on for Big Bert and Lungo wanted more money than Florida was offering.

I've long suspected Rantanen is a product of MacKinnon and Makar.
Dumb thing to say after a few games. I'd wait and see before making such childish claims.

Hits are one thing but we still lack some bullish skill. Do you think we can intimidate other teams?

why not? he has grit plays in the paint.

Hes fake grit imo.. and he plays slow
