Curious what the Flyers could offer for Pettersson. They don’t have any high end young centers but Cam York has been quietly having a very solid season and could be a guy that would be a fixture in this team’s top 4 for many years. Guys like Foerster and Cates would also provide this team with some much needed size up front. Their 1st will also be mid-range which holds value and a guy like Luchanko is very intriguing. I certainly prefer what they could offer over the Byram/Cozens package Sabres fans keep trotting out.

What about Sillinger + Provorov for Pettersson + Desharnais/Soucy.

Not that I condone trading Pettersson because it sounds like Miller is done here and trading both is a likely rebuild, but I could see the team being better off over the current Hughes contract with something like that.

Rick bringing up avs and miller again on halford and brough. Said there was a deal in the past that fell through. JT for Newhook and Byram

i can see miller as a torts and briere guy.

couturier is a pretty close match for miller on cap, age and other factors and he's been fighting with torts for a while. he's got an nmc but brisson is his agent and can be a hero for pettersson if he gets miller out.

Miller for Jenner

Or

EP for Jenner and Mateychuk + 2nd

Hughes - Hronek
Mateychuk - Willander

Is a young, mobile and promising D core. Maybe a bit small though on the L side

it's small on the right side too. both hronek and willander are on the smaller size for nhl dmen at 6'1

Now that there’s some clarity on cap projections, I wonder if we see a Lankinen re-signing in the next week, too. Could go the Washington model with Thompson/Lindgren at $6M and $3.5M.

Friedman say there is a deal that Vancouver has for Miller that they could potentially pull the trigger on. I wonder who's the team..
Cam Robinson dropped an article this morning and said this:

“A week ago, upwards of five teams had shown varying levels of interest in Miller. Today, that number is smaller. Carolina is out. Sources indicate to Elite Prospects that Dallas has cooled on the idea. The New York Rangers remain the frontrunners, but the Colorado Avalanche could also be in the mix.

It appears Vancouver is open to retaining some of his salary if the return is of high enough quality.

Sources indicate there are at least two offers on the table for Miller that Vancouver continues to consider but do not love. If the team keeps winning games, it makes it more difficult for them to accept the reduced packages being offered.”

The retention part is very interesting. Also had notes on petey and boeser including who could be interested and potential returns.

how the hell are they going to jack up revenues that much?
I'm assuming the broadcasts are going to be less about hockey and more about milking the business to the max. More expensive gates and hospitalities, more ads per 60, gambling being pushed more, cheap and accessible merch to meet masses and collectors alike, all are amplified and more expensive.

Crazy to think that a team could cough up roughly 20 million more in two years without it affecting how the product looks.
