Buyout Period: June 27th, evening; players without NMCs must be placed on unconditional waivers 24 hours prior (another buyout period opens if a team has a player file for arbitration). This buyout period ends June 30th. 8:00pm.

Someone mentioned that Allvin might have played Milstein, asking the latter to find a trade for Mik under the impression that Zad will be extended but didn't end up do so. Feels like an incredibly shitty thing to do if true so I assume it's just a quick joke.

Why would Milstein be pissed though? I wonder.

Agents look for deals all the time for their guys nothing here. Highly doubt they agreed on a price for Z if trade went through then backed out. If anything they told Milstein they were close but needed to move Mik but Millstein wouldn't bridge the gap after deal.

Ah, so it could be a case that Milstein is angry that things didn't work out after all the effort to deal Mik, not necessarily that the Orcas themselves pulled a dick move, I guess?

Quite possible lots of moving parts here so who knows. However I don't think Millstein was promised any contract that was taken away after trade that I just don't see.

It's been suggested here a few times but they are probably looking for a Martin Jones-type. A veteran NHLer than will either push Silovs to the AHL where he can be the starter or go to the AHL themselves. Then if/when Demko gets injured they don't throw Silovs and another goalie to the wolves for an extended period of time.

You need a competent third goalie in today's NHL. Any club that isn't looking for a veteran/journeyman #3 organizational goalie is simply negligent.

It's not about Silovs. You still need another goalie in the org that the club trusts to play some games (because they will have to).
