Would absolutely love him but Bennett has basically every intangible (grit, high draft pick, Canadian, cup ring) that would lead to GMs getting into an insane bidding war over him.
sign HIM dont care i like his style. in your face. canucks are way too soft. if they had clone 10 bennets with garlands heart team would be fun to watch. 6x9?

We could only sign in for 7 years I don't even think 9 year deals are legal;-) it's not necessarily the dollar that scares me it would be making sure that the term reasonable, the potential for a guy like him to fall off his instrumental. But God would I love him on this team

I like the player, but I don’t like him as a target. He doesn’t pass enough as a centre so unfortunately I think that limits his upside but premier 3C in the league for true. He plays more like a winger. Maybe it clicks altogether for a couple years, but I don’t want to be the team that makes that bet.

That's fair, heavily dependent on the Wingers that you surround him with in our situation you'd run to Middle lines with him and chytl running them so you kind of go with a strength by committee approach instead of a more conventional one two three four approach

I like running the lines that way. I think the price tag for however he ends up being deployed depends on the team making the playoffs. He’s a playoff player, but the regular season is much longer and more chances for fans to call him out for coasting.

I don't know how you can say that. Maybe you missed that sweeeet 3 on 3 overtime goal???

Seems pretty obvious if Boeser isn't signed to a new deal in just over two weeks time, he's as good as gone at the TDL.

I just can't see Allvin going past the trade deadline with Boeser on expiring contract--and then risk having him walk on July 1st for nothing.

I see the Devils are the last team in the rumor mill on Boeser. Checking their roster on Puckpedia right now.

Elias Pettersson
Kirill Kudryatsev
-
Ryan Leonard
Andrew Mangiapane
Martin Fehrevary

Caps would have 693,333 capspace and a 22 man roster so I dunno how trade deadline space works but they could do it today basically.

Canucks get their own Cam Neely and a Glen Wesley for their Barry Pederson.

KK added for Mangi cause its 2025 cap rules now and in 3 years this will be a bigger fleece than the original Neely deal was.

That would basically finito for the Canucks playoff chances this year. Leonard is still in college, and the either two guys do mothing to move the needle this season.

I don't Allvin is throwing in the towel on this season. They'll probably be adding at the TDL, but it'll be basically 'tweaking' instead of a 'blockbuster'.

Leonard is untouchable. It'd be like us trading Willander for Barzal. No way it happens.

After seeing what we have seen.
Would you do the Cozens + Byram for Petey trade now?
Legit Curious

I'm not even curious at all. It's all down to management and coaching perception. Something as fans we can't really know. They see him everyday and they have to make the call. If they do they do.

I wouldn't from the outside. Cozens isn't going to be Petey in the future and what is Byram going to do stuck behind Hughes?

hes off this team when 4nations is finished

Nyqvist
jean gabriel pageu. rhc. could be miller lite if vancouver wants to upgrade their 2c position. can slot down if needed.
Zucker

as for defense: maybe another 5/6 guy to slot ahead of juulseen in case of injuries.

Bennett is an average sized guy who plays above his weight class. Those types of players slow down as their body reacts to playing like that.

We need big, fast and skilled players.

Boldy. EK. Brady. Kreider. Miller. Holloway. Players with that skill set and size.

We need a bigger and faster team

Yeah my post that you quoted should have said two middle lines not to Middle lines, voice text

Lots more space last night literally the only time he popped is when they were bodies all over the place I think some people were changing and some us players got crossed up and he had about a 20 ft opening and he spurted up to try and make a shot that was it
