Lol.

But really, the Canucks haven't even gone on a losing streak yet all season. It's just the home record that's concerning. We're trying to determine whether or not it makes sense to go all-in right now.

Quinn Hughes is the one constant that keeps this team thinking they're contenders - he's having an MVP-type start. Arguably already the best player in Franchise history, and we owe it to him to do everything we can.

Maybe have him do something in playoffs before anointing him best player in franchise history.

I mean 26 points in 30 playoff games is nothing to sneeze at. He also doesn’t have a whole lot of competition among fellow Canucks’ alumni when it comes to playoff success either.

Meh.. recency bias I suppose... I don't get to watch him Vancouver often but I watched all their playoff games last year and was thoroughly disappointed in his play.

Recency bias? Lol. Hughes did a pretty good job holding McDavid to only 1 goal during that series but I guess he doesn’t throw big hits so, not noticeable.

You’re arguing with Canucks’ fans about who the best player in their pathetic franchise history is. Maybe stick to your own franchise’s pathetic history?

Not arguing.. I totally admitted i do not watch Canuck games often outside of last years playoffs and so my opinion has some recency bias added in to it.

No reason to get triggered.

What’s the point of this post other than to start some sort or debate?

I mean, I guess that's a fair point...
But he just does it night after night for us, it's baffling. If you're not watching this guy, you're doing yourself a disservice as a fan of this game.

There also isn't a lot of competition at the top for our franchise.
Is Dom Hasek your franchise goat because of one playoff run, or his many dominant regular seasons?

Pettersson's second best season 34 goals 89 points (82 games)
Thompson's second best season 38 goals 68 points (78 games)

Pettersson's third best season 27 goals 66 points (68 games)
Thompson's third best season 29 goals 56 points (71 games)

The comparison keeps getting worse for Thompson from there.
I think you missed the most interesting element of my post.
Maybe on purpose? :)

I mean Dom had more than one dominant playoffs. Even when they got bounced in 1st round he still had a sub 2 GAA and a .950 save percentage in 7 game series.

But I get what you saying. I actually thought Sedins were better in playoffs than they actually were so I am surprised by that.
