It could be argued pettersen quits on his team regularly
You could say the same thing about Miller who pouts on the ice and gives up on plays when things are going bad.

We signed Pettersson as our franchise player. We are stuck with him . I would like to keep Miller but if he is always fighting with teammates and taking time off hockey because he cant be friends then he is the problem .

There seems to be a lot of speculation taken as fact here.

We aren’t necessarily stuck w pettersen. His no move doesn’t kick in until after this season.

Only those within the team really know the full story here obviously. What does or doesn’t happen over the next month trade wise will probably give us a little more insight

A world in which said player has a NMC, can choose where he wants to go, has well-documented anger management issues, has already worn out his welcome two other times, and whose relationship with several current teammates is no longer tenable?
That’s a whole lot of speculation without any facts to back it up.
To be fair, if someone poses the question “In what world would…” they are asking for a hypothetical scenario, aka a speculative one, which is what that poster provided

It seems like the gist if it is EP and Miller can't coexist and EP will be the one to go.

wtf r u on about?

nothing out there other than fan conjecture suggests "EP and Miller can't coexist".

not a single credible sources has even heard a rumour of EP going anywhere. again, just fan nonsense.

this type of wild assumption is weird

lol... jesus christ. you pick up on this "tea" at the hair salon? when did hockey fandom become such a group of rumour mongers and dramatic gossips.

nothing you're saying is backed up with reality.

You can’t that

There’s a Miller cult in our fan base
We got one of those. I first dubbed it the church Sergachev in like 2017 and I regret it everyday. Dude has been gone since summer and if you say one word about the mistakes he makes/or made in Tampa.... well. Let's say I'm actually betting a Lightning fan is gonna storm in here and either say I'm full of shit or defend his honor.

He’s making the assumption that is the current reality of the situation, which is isn’t.

Miller had a problem with Horvat and now he's got a problem with EP. Are you guys SURE Miller isn't the problem? The NYR traded him to us for nothing and we traded him to you for the same

i've literally seen Miller, in public, with Horvat. As friends. Chillin'. the constant random nonsense that comes out of fans is hilarious.

I love a good narrative but the distortion of actual facts is comically childish

lol. ok.

those of us nearby don't know either. dressing room and on ice drama has been happening to the canucks since right after the bubble. in all that time and after many incidents and rumours no coherent explanation or theme has emerged and nobody can say for sure who is driving it. about all you can say is that the canucks clearly made the right call in moving horvat and in naming hughes as captain. those moves have not completely eliminated the drama but the team is way more focussed on winning hockey games than it was and the drama seems to drop away when things are going well.

the "drama" has been all fan made bullshit.

horvat was moved because we needed to acquire a defenseman, Hronek, horvat is a somewhat of a mirage defensively, and deemed expendable due to Miller and Pettersson. that's it.

"no coherent explanation or theme has emerged" because it's just stories this fan base decides to run wild with because they want the spicier story.

I’m not sure that EP ever forgave Miller for the waffle incident and that double decker he left when EP had the team over.

I would love to see a bigger trade. Something like this maybe:

To Van: Zibanejad, Kakko, pick
To NYR: JT Miller, Hoglander, Desharnais

Cap would be very close. Vancouver basically moves all 3 guys they are having issues with. NYR moves the guys they have concerns with.

I think change of scenery may work out here. Miller should be happy to go back to NY where I could see him have bigger role this time around. Hoglander will add some speed to NYR, which they need. Desharnais can be useful depth now that Trouba is gone.

For Vancouver, Zibanejad will join a nice group of Swedes so he may like that. Kakko could fit in nicely in their top 9 too…
Can’t win with Zib, another floater.
