Leafs strong depth should create that really good & healthy competition Dubas has mentioned; should be great for their run, no passengers.

Smart & vocal players clicking together, Brooks is probably taking it all in like a sponge; I think he'll continue to do well on this line & it may become hard to breakup them up if that happens.

I have really been impressed with Brooks but I think he may come out of the lineup come playoff time unfortunately

I’m sure it’s been asked and answered many times but is it possible for Andersen to get a game or two before the playoffs start? Same with Nash?

I heard somewhere that all cap calculations are based on 116 day season. Each player has 1/116 counted against the cap every day.

Which as we know results in no cap for the playoffs.

But this season got extended beyond the original 116 days. That means we have two games after the cap time.

Some people are speculating that like the playoffs, there is no cap on those last two games.

Andersen, Nash, and Hyman if healthy can all be in the line up.

That would be great if true, particularly in Andersen’s case.

I wondered this, would be awesome if true; it does make sense.

Anyone else notice how bad Hughes is defensively ? Seems like every puck he touches in his own zone is a turn over, so weak on battles, terrible defensive IQ. He's essentially a winger playing D, exploit him again.

Mikheyev scores tonight, my boy does everything else right, time to be rewarded.

What a Mikheyev rush reminds me of.

Daily cap values are not so important anymore now that we’re in LTIR and not accruing space.

Only one of Andersen or Nash can come back. And that’s contingent on both Hyman and Bogo remaining on LTIR.

It was expected for sure.

In response to a tweet by Iain MacIntyre, I really liked Bieksa's comments about the Edler-Simmonds fight and code players abide to:

Completely agree with Bieksa's take. Edler took the fight, he wasn't injured, and once it was over the matter was settled.

However, I also believe not every situation is equal. Case in point, Bertuzzi vs. Moore. Bertuzzi was a monster and I don't blame Moore for not wanting any part of him. The Canucks should have sent someone else in to take on Moore.

In this case, sure Simmonds has plenty of fights and Edler none, so it was a mismatch. So I do get why Canucks fans are angry, but if it had been, say, Quinn Hughes that had taken out Hyman I doubt Simmonds would have challenged him. In that case, more likely other players would have taken a run or two at him rather than fighting him, or perhaps a Dermott would have stepped up.

Short version: Every situation is different.

In the context of this "code" Bertuzzi broke the code by wanting to fight Moore after Moore had already stood up and fought someone else.

In terms of the fight mismatch, Simmonds held back like he should have. His objective wasn't to put Edler on a stretcher.

Surprised it took that long of a cold streak to put willy on pp1. My goodness that’s a disgusting pp lol we’re spoiled to watch them as fans... sometimes

Repeating what I said before, no need to rush in the power play wrinkles too early. This team's objectives are loftier than scoring a few extra PP goals as it plays out the regular season.

Vancouver Canucks player on leave after sexual misconduct allegation - Vancouver Is Awesome

Any time someone rich gets accused after "X" amount of years, I take that info with a grain of salt. Not to say it did not happen - if it did then let law take its course; if it didn't someone is basically ruining a reputation of a known athlete for a few bucks.

to be seen....

Not easy for these women to come out. When one has the strength to do so, others follow. Time for some of these spoiled athletes to realise they are not above the law. See Robbie Alomar and Deshaun Watson.

Uhh innocent until proven guilty? If he did it I hope the book gets thrown at him but until it’s proven it would probably be best to zip it...we literally know nothing about it
