Going back to the beginning of the new year Elias Pettersson has only 7 points in 23 games. Only 1 of them being a goal. He is anemic at faceoffs lately, has only taken 31 shots on net and is a -6 overall.
People suggesting right now that multiple pieces including; blue chip young players 26 and under as well as futures would be available for Pettersson are out to lunch.
Sorry kids, that is not haw things work. Every GM in the league is watching and seeing that this top 5 paid player in the league is producing at an abysmal .84 points per every 3 games and that is including playing with some of the best wingers in the world in his 4 nations stint.
Nobody is offering up a show for Pettersson and the Canucks better hope to hell he regains his form because the only reason he has been "pulled off of the trade board" is because his value is an absolute negative right now and no GM in the world is going to pay what the canucks would need to trade him
