I’d give up Johnston before I ever gave up Robertson!!I would not move Johnston. EP’s cap hit is very high which makes him hard to move. I could see Robertson for Pettersson trade.

Robertson isn't a rising star though and the diminishment and then retirement of Joe is showing. They're not going to get a rising star at peak performance for a fading one with a massive contract. Robertson could be a good buy low opportunity. His career high of 109 points is even higher than Pettersson's, and he's a year younger too.
Allvin sees their main window as the next coupleoof years with Hughes and Demko on sweetheart deals. I don't think this does anything for a team looking to contend.Petterson

Not to mention his footspeed seemingly getting worse by the year. No team is going to trade a 1C and target a slowing winger as the primary return.Robertson isn't a rising star though and the diminishment and then retirement of Joe is showing.
If you wouldn’t move Seider for EP that’s your prerogative but Detroit needs to upgrade the centre ice position. If you want to wait 3-4 years for Kasper that’s cool with every other Atlantic team.
Mostly because he has already done it, and imo will do it again multiple times once he either gets his head on straight or goes to a less hectic market.I like EP40 but why are you calling him a 100pt guy?
He has done it exactly once and only has 1 other season where is more than a PPG in his 7 total seasons.
Teams are going to treat him a bit like Eichel.

If you read actual quotes from coaches and those involved, it’s fair to conclude they’re not BFFs. But pretending rabid fans and media couldn’t blow this massively out of proportion is asinine. Pretending that missing multiple key players on/off through the season won’t drive a losing streak more than anything else is weird. And thinking that Miller’s absence was due to a tiff with a colleague and not a personal matter (e.g. marital issues) is odd.EVERY HOCKEY MEDIA OUTLET IS SAYING THEY DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER SO MUCH SO THAT IT'S AFFECTING THE ON ICE PERFORMANCE.
but yeah forsure whatever you say
Power is interesting but the canucks would need to see something in cozens that the rest of us aren't seeing he looks very average at this point.Assuming the Sabres can extend Byram first, would Van be interested in something like this?

EP, a contract (Desharnais?), and something small like a 2nd/3rd or mid range prospect.
It’s a full NMC so as soon as that goes into effect, you won’t get an Eichel-like return.lol and what if they’re one of the ones on the NTC? Sounds like a great strategy, you should be a GM
Sure as long as Lidstrom is healthy but do they even have room for Del Bel Bulluz and is he going to be a top 6 guy or play a valuable role in the top 9?Value wise that’s great for Vancouver.
Vancouver media is known for this shit. Its quite hilarious. Canuck fans are aware of this, and scoffs it off. Meanwhile hfboards.com take this shit as gospel. If you read actual quotes from coaches and those involved, it’s fair to conclude they’re not BFFs. What’s more likely to be the big issue here: a soap opera that serves clickbait interests and the gossip-hungry, or the scenario I’m describing?
But whatever gets you excited, go ahead. Kink shaming isn’t my thing.

Yup. Only way I see Pettersson being traded is if he’s begging for it AND an amazing offer comes along. Dude has it in him to have HHOF career and win a Cup.Vancouver media is known for this shit. And any team(s) interested in Pettersson won’t get the guy they’re presumably interested in. It depends entirely on how desperate each side is.It’s a full NMC so as soon as that goes into effect, you won’t get an Eichel-like return.
It’s public humiliation to say he needs to prepare better? Something anyone with two eyes can see is the case? And people complain about kids these days being soft… can’t believe how much hand-wringing there is over the slightest bit of real talk
Yea i agree he's not, that's what I'm saying. I'm saying EP won't bring back a rising star right now so it'll be more for someone like Robertson who is having his own issues.Robertson isn't a rising star though and the diminishment and then retirement of Joe is showing.
If they're trading both I think you'd basically have to blow it up and rebuild at that point, you wouldn't have any elite skaters on your roster anymore aside from Quinn Hughes.
Neither is Pettersson. They are about as equal value as you will get. Also, the offseason surgery is why he struggled early.Robertson isn't a rising star though and the diminishment and then retirement of Joe is showing.
As a Canucks fan I’m not sure in what world there’s any window right now with this ahl defense.Allvin sees their main window as the next coupleoof years with Hughes and Demko on sweetheart deals. I don't think this does anything for a team looking to contend.

At this moment it looks bad for sure, but to me there's a pretty clear path to fix it before the playoffs even start. Of course it hinges on acquiring a legit difference maker for the top 4 like Byram (which reportedly Vancouver is trying hard to do), and Willander being ready to eat some minutes (which he appears to be).As a Canucks fan I’m not sure in what world there’s any window right now with this ahl defense.
There needs to be a serious overhaul before they are taken seriously again. Unfortunately it feels more like a long term issue that isn’t going to be fixed overnight.
Part of the problem with this team is the non-stop shortcuts from drafting and developing. This has resulted in a lack of NHL ready farm players and prospects. The team has 2-3 legit prospects and no one in the AHL is really exciting.
Just going to be more of the same if they move assets for short term fixes.
