He had pettersson streaking on the left wall.. all he had to do was send it in that general direction. Not tape to tape.. just something for petey to fight for around the opposite blue line.

Instead he held and slapped.

He had about two other options too. Before that he had about three things he could have done. In classic Myers fashion, chose the worst thing you can do.

Lankinen got screwed. Should've been a 1 GAA game for him. Instead a BS PP and a goal by a guy who should've been in the locker room makes him look a lot worse than he played.

Major shoutout to Sherwood. Maybe the best game of his career so far. Everyone keeps talking about what a great signing he was, but truthfully, it's Sherwood who deserves the credit.

Nobody expected him to be this good. This is all on him for raising his level of play, and it starts with the energy he brings to every shift, finishing his checks like he's getting paid per hit. You love to see it.

Coaching staff needs to wake the f*** up. Stop putting myers and juulsen out in the last moments. Haven't we learned from the playoffs?

Ok, Myers played ok for the 2nd and then started steadily declining again as the game went on. You put him out in a vital moment at the end, I get it. But then he makes the dumbest possible play with tons of time and no pressure....DON'T PUT HIM OUT THERE AGAIN. And definitely don't put Juulsen out there with him...

Also, Hronek was an absolute stud this game and he's not out there at the end?

This coaching staff just can't help themselves, they put Myers out mindlessly and just ignore when he makes dumb decisions. At least be able to read who is playing well in the game and lean on them...

Joshua looked back today. Way sooner than I anticipated, although, we'll see how the conditioning holds up here on this road trip.

Hoglander was really, really bad. I've been thinking that there's a deal coming on this road trip - wonder where things go with that.

Pretty impressive game from the blue line overall given we lost Hughes. I know the Myers last minute there was really dumb, but that doesn't take away that it was a good game.

I asked how people felt about Brady because every game I see him play, he's like this uncontrollable cry baby and it completely overshadows everything else he does for me.

Great game without our best player. Hronek stepped up in a big way and we got solid performances from our top 9. Not sure why DeBrusk can only play on the road.

Sasson played really well too, fit in as a 4th line energy guy. Hoglander is lost; we might need more than one player on an extended reset.

Bad play by Myers on the first icing but it shouldn't have come down to that. The Sens had nothing at 4-1 before the Hoglander call and the missed interference. Between that and the Hughes ejection I'd call the game close due to ref f***ery over anything else.
