I.E.
I'd absolutely do it value wise because I'm a total Bo fan but it doesn't address the Kings' biggest needs and depletes them of the chips they'd need to pursue those needs

And then LA sends Horvat the the Jackets for Gavrikov, and everybody extends immediately upon the trade? Sure.

Ummm.. not sure if this is a joke
It’s not. Danault is a top 10 (maybe top 5) defensive center in the league while also being a SIGNIFICANTLY more productive 5v5 scorer than Horvat. 70 5v5 points (2.08 per 60 minutes) for Danault since 2019 compared to 57 (1.65 per 60) for Horvat.

Horvat is just a power play merchant who’s lucky to play on one of the best units in the league. Danault dominates him in every other aspect of the game. I’m a Sharks fan who hates both of these teams for the record.

Start the trade with:

To L.A - Gavrikov,

To Columbus - Horvat,

To Vancouver -

And start filling in the blanks from there.

L.A needs a big left shot Dman that can take care of his own end and bring a bit of bite. We are overstocked at right shot defenseman, young forwards, and we have picks, but Blake traded last years first and I would be surprised if he traded this years for a rental.

I have no problem trading Grans as some others do, but would Vancouver be interested in Durzi as a start?

Nah, that value is more than fair, but like it's been said it's not at all what the Kings need. The Kings three main issues are LD, goaltending, and toughness, and this addresses absolutely none of those while trading away assets that could be used to try and address those needs. Easy pass for the Kings
