do people not remember that when we got monahan that iaffalo was the one who was put on the 4th line and not perfetti? perfetti was kept in the top 6 and didn't produce then the change was made... it's like people want to argue that cole should be in the top 6 over iaffalo when neither should be in the top six and we literally went out and got somebody to go in the top six
Interesting, so maybe @surixon is right:
Maybe the center is the issue. Seems like they are trying to construct a completely new second line mid season when the one they had the first half was just fine.

iaffalo will be on the 4th line and off the powerplay next week and gus/kurpari will be out of the line up as well

Seems the common denomiter is Monohan at center. He was crap 5 on 5 in Montreal to. Ehlers has also struggled 5 on 5 outside of his first line time in this time period as well.

Doesn’t change that Cole should have been there the last 5 games and not Iafallo.

Anyway 4th line will be in playoffs:

Perfetti/Barron- Names - Iafallo

Perfetti brings more offence and pp ability Barron brings defensive and Pk. Names is name and. Iafallo brings?

Yes, but we “literally” paid a first for him to fill the 2C hole and improve the team, and he hasn’t done that at 5 on 5 (his PP returns have been good)
maybe we should wait until we bring in an actual top 6 forward and see if that line gets going

He's been playing with a first line forward since getting here and nothing. Stop making excuses for him.
at least he's gotten actual points since he's got here... while perfetti has gotten 1 in the past 20 games playing the majority of those mins with the same top line forward...

I also expect Perfetti back into the lineup sooner rather than later, maybe even tomorrow night, Toffoli and Perfetti in Gus and Kupari out. Vilardi being ready probably means Perfetti sits again but who know if and when he will be good to go
that means Perfetti plays center? idk if bowness does even if its 4th line :dunno:

What a depressing game to be at .... Canucks came to play their revenge game and the Jets did not show up.
The 1st and 3rd goals showed you why the Jets need big tough defencemen ... you never let forwards stands in the blue paint untouched waiting for a rebound to poke in.
Not to take anything away from the Canucks they deserved the win but goals 1,3 & 5 were good/lucky bounces for them.
Also up 4-0 in the third and the Canucks are cheating ... 2 guys flying up the ice before the pass is even made out of their zone if the pass is knock down the Jets have a good scoring chance which the Jets did have a few good looks except they could not finish.
I always say if you win or lose in a blow out game ... it means nothing.
One team plays great and has bounces going their way and the team on the other end played bad and had nothing going their way.
It happens ... the important thing is how they respond in the next game.

So these are the 12 forwards when healthy, Scheifele, KFC, Nik, Apples, Mony, Lurch, Barron, Toffoli, Nino, Vilardi, Toffoli, and Vladdy. We have some scoring punch with those 12 but you have to get the right combinations that gives you maximum scoring potential. Pefertti, Gus and Kupari are the black aces going into the playoffs. Not sure where Miller slots in but you have to think they brought him here to get into some action but the 6 D seem to be set for the playoffs.
