Hughes-Myers works. I'm not sure about Hronek leading the 2nd pair, but they have that option now.

Demko... Amazing. Made a post about him in the GDT before the game. This is his importance. He can morph the team's projection in a very big way. This is it.

Hoglander-Pettersson-Kalrsson... Wow. Even though I wanted more conversion, they do that in most games, I don't even want get my hopes up. Dominant.

Hughes with 10 points in his last 6 games. Scored or assisted on 7 of our last 10 goals... the guy is the entire team its crazy. He can get to 100 but it will be tough for him to increase his rate as games tighten up at the end. If he never got hurt he definitely gets there since his current rate over 82 games gets him over 100.

44 points in 32 games is asking a lot though, but hes been on such a heater he could make that a lot easier for himself real soon. Probably finishes off around where he was last year in the mid to low 90s.

Myers has been very very good since the suspension. Like not just solid, he has been the second best Dman since his return.

Posting it here too: Hughes up to 24 points more than Miller, which if it holds I believe would break the previous defenseman team points lead record of 23 by Ray Bourque (unless I have missed something).

EDIT: Never mind, fake news. Karlsson got 34.

Karlsson led the Sharks by 34 a couple years ago.

i just looked it up: at the 50 game mark, karlsson was 16 pts up on meier at #2 on the sharks

bobby orr in 1970 (his first art ross year) was 13 pts up on phil esposito

there’s no obvious potvin or coffey or bourque year that would be close to a 24 pt margin at the 50 game mark. i do believe what hughes is doing here is unprecedented.
