Tank chart for this game

  • If Vancouver loses and Winnipeg wins, Vancouver clinches a top-four position, with an opportunity to take 3rd on Saturday.
  • If Vancouver wins, Calgary will move up to 4th.

Biggest game of the year. Guessing this team stomps on our hearts with a regulation win against Calgary.

Horvat score a hatrick, get 41 points. McCann and Virtanen with some points.
Lose in regulation by one goal.

Dream big.

Recorded the Oilers game, but didn't watch it. Okay, tank on. Sure. Whatever.

Probably will watch this one; want to see Shinkaruk in the chance we were too bloody stupid to give him.

Lose the next 2 games, hopefully get a better pick. That is all.

If for just one game, they'd use Tryamkin and Pedan on the pp at the point instead of Tanev and Hamhuis, I could at least go into the off-season at peace....but no....Willie will stand there with his clipboard like a sidewalk mannequin and trot out two guys who couldn't break a pane of glass with their point-shots...is it any wonder the pp is something like one for its past 40?......it's going to be painful watching this coach for another season.

This is what "tanking" really looks like.

Bad play. Sloppy play. Lack of care. And a team that just rolls over or mails it in more nights than not.

This is what people wanted. It has arrived. And it's incredibly difficult to watch. And we've likely got 3-5 years of this ahead of us, no matter who is in charge.

But if you want those top-3 picks, you have to put a terrible product on the ice. And you're gonna have to have a lot of these games where the whole team just folds and walks away.

It's not good hockey. It's not fun to watch. The novelty of "young players" making mistakes all over the ice night after night doesn't last that long.

I disagree. This is what a badly managed team looks like, a badly managed playoff team with playoff aspirations even. Superficially there are similarities but that is it. This team has no direction for fans to understand, it had no intentions of tanking, had no decent managment of assets. What can you say other than this draft might result in a high pick inspite of management rather than because of it. This isn't a tank team this is just a really bad team, team tank is still waiting to get behind a proper rebuild.

I've been saying it for a while, we need a setup like this.

Somewhat outdated since Grenier was sent down but whatever you get the gist of what I'm saying.

I agree, usually teams in competition for top 5 picks are super exciting. It's only our Canuck team that is boring with a bad Corsi.

Benning traded Shinky to Calgary especially for this game. That way shink can score a hatty and win for Calgary, therefore getting us a better pick. Benning you genius!!!
