Biega Is so consistently good that I really do wonder why he does not play more

Baertshi has looked excellent in all the shifts I've seen so far. Very engaged. Also have liked some of Pouliots work which is encouraging. Also, how is Biega not one of our best 6 D?? Shouldn't need an injury for him to be in there.

Are the Canucks just playing another good road game, or are the Minnesota wild just really ****ing boring again

Baertschi tends to get underappreciated sometimes here. He does all of the little things that go unnoticed. Hopefully he scores again. I want him to be a long term fixture for this team considering he's just starting his prime. He can at the very least be a 20 goal regular, defensively responsible scorer that adds speed to the team. 50+ points at his peak would be fine.

Gagner is probably our most useless player, and that's hard to do.

What a useless signing. He had like one good season with Columbus, and is cashing it on it. The one or two things he's supposedly good for (PP, shootout), he has been underwhelming on that.

The term in his contract should be replaced with Del Zotto's.

Biega is a much better defenseman than Gudbranson
Gubranson is much bigger, has immensely more pedigree, and just looks cooler/ like more of an athlete. Plus Guddy seems like an incredibly likable and non alienating teammate.

I know you're being sarcastic but I'd like to point out that Biega does seem to be really popular in the Canucks locker room.

And he hasn't just been underwhelming, he has been hurting it tremendously. The constant turnovers, the stupid passes...I mean, at what point is he scratched? Whatever he is doing, should not be called playing hockey.

I just can't help myself ass it feels more sane than acknowledging with sincerity the atrocity that trading for him was.

I am more or less referring to Guddy's absolutely amazing '300 games' comment plus how he reacted to that dress up dinosaur. Between those two guys one seems incredibly down to earth while the other seems very entitled/arrogant. With all the opportunities created from his size/draft pedigree compared to the exact opposite of the other player - it's hilarious there is even a conversation comparing their skill.

Seems to be a player who is now relaxed and passing time, now that he's settled for 3 years.
If they were going to sign him, they should've signed him for a 1 yr so he can atleast be hungry and motivated.

Agreed. Signing these kind of players with multiple years leads to feeling safe. Gagner can play like shit, get bought out and still collect money. It seems like he really doesn't care what happens with him, he is getting paid regardless.

Yeah, these are exactly the type of players we need to be surrounding our young players. Sigh.

This may be controversial, but I'd rather they sign Iginla cheap instead for a year.
He was looking fine with the kings, provides grit, and leadership for the young core. Can be a good net presence and still has a decent shot on the PP. Given our bottom 6 is soft as marshmallow, he'd atleast fill a strength on the third line.

Pouliot is exactly as advertised.

Offensively pretty decent, defensively kinda scary.

Huge problems turning around

Best game so far tho
