hi guys, caps fan here

can you tell me something about Hanifin? I have seen only few Hurricanes games and he looks really good out there. I'm big fan of him

also, Faulk is the monster

I still don't think Versteeg got that tip. I think he celly'd hard and told Faulk he tipped it because he'd like to go to free agency with more than 5 goals.

Not sure if I'm kidding or not but it really didn't look like he got it.

After I watched it again, that was my view also Joe. I didn't see a tip and thought to myself "is Faulk just being a good teammate?"

My observations: He's been generally good. Some rookie mistakes earlier on, and he certainly hit a bit of a wall in terms of his energy with the grind earlier, but he seems to have adapted to it somewhat. We'll see what happens late in the season. Doesn't take risks often, but taking more as he gains confidence, and they're generally smart risks to take.

He's good. He's still learning, and working to build strength and endurance for sure, but if this is what he looks like at 18, he's going to be in a very good place when he's 25.

The only thing we can be sure of about Hanifin is that Provorov was and undoubtedly still is the better player. Hanifin lacks pretty much any offensive ability and will never, ever develop it.

Meh let's be fair, it's not all... but damn are the three that are padding their post count with completely uninformed opinions absolutely obnoxious today.

So Canes are still #1 in the league in FO%. I've always been of the opinion that faceoffs are 90% hard work and 10% skill. I "assume" the impressive FO numbers are due to Brindy working with these guys? I never see practice so am wondering.

Just making some jokes. Lots of Leafs fans were bitter they did not take Hanifin and are very complimentary of what he has accomplished. He's been as good as he could be as an 18 year old in the NHL. Looks like a vet most of the time.

Remember when Chris Terry was the hot prospect who was going to come in and score 20 goals as soon as we gave him a chance?

I trust you that it did happen, but I honestly don't remember that. I remember the hype over Boychuk, Dalpe and Bowman, but don't remember any hype over Terry.

It wasn't nearly as universal as something like the Boychuck hype, but I remember there being a few here who were hyping him a decent bit.

So here's a question: Better player, Boychuck or Terry?

I know I'll probably jinx it and they'll have a bad pinch, but I'm impressed with how well Hanifin, Pesce and Slavin pick their spots to pinch. For rookies, it's pretty impressive.
