Honestly just felt like a night where everything they tried to do went wrong. Some because of the Rangers but much because of themselves or bad luck. To lose that because of a fluke goal is kinda like whatever.

I'll add it wasn't for lack of trying, the trying just didn't work tonight.

Need the new guys to gel that’s all. I think the 2nd line might be really bad defensively but has the potential to be absolutely dynamic if Kuznetsov gets/can be in shape.

I'm sold on Koochie. It's amazing too because his lows earlier in the season were like bottom of the ABYSS low. But he's turned it around for sure.

Rangers won the game in their own end, winning board battles and clearing pucks. That being said, we still had plenty of opportunities. This is a new team now. It will take some time to "resync".

If you lose one game mainly due to chemistry issues in the 1st and play this well defensively the rest of the way, we're bound to win a lot of games once the chemistry does hit. Whatever, hopefully they get it straight on Thursday.

Kuzy and Guentzel both are clearly rusty and it could be argued they're with the worst guy to be rusty with since he's so fast it'll throw you off easily. I think you also see them probably thinking about things in terms of their old teams or linemates at times. But you can see the raw skill there. I honestly think much of their defensive deficiencies at this point come from offensive mistakes that will be cleaned up with chemistry and playing more. Give em a few games and they'll be globetrotting.

I thought overall they played pretty well in the d-zone tonight… Rod had them out for defensive draws a few times as well.
