Pre-Game Talk: CANES VS CU^TS IT IS

Would be interesting if they put Jarvis in the 3rd line spot. I do think that line has more success if you go Staal + Martinook + scorer rather than Carrier as the third horseman. All of Stankoven, Jarvis, and Blake could go in that spot and be successful.

Unlike the Devils, the Caps have a much better bottom 6 so we will really need all of our lines to pull their weight.

I REALLY like Stankhoven on that line. His tenacious play worked really well and they looked more dangerous with Stanky's offensive skillset.

I was confident about the Devils series, but this one seems like a true toss up. Hopefully they keep their heads up & Tom Wilson doesn't murder anybody, Freddie is fit, and Canes get some bounces. But I'm definitely not going into this one feeling cocky in any kind of way. Should be fun. Gulp.
The playoffs thread someone said "I can see either team sweeping or either team winning it in 7 and everything in-between"

I feel the same

Leafs Panthers apparently are poised to play 7 on Monday and they don't want to overlap. It's the least likely of the options, especially having both Eastern series on the same day, but it's an option.

If the league truly thinks that is an option, vs just delaying the start to another day, they are incompetent. Way to grow your brand by starting a game when everyone is at work and thus both guaranteeing low TV ratings and empty seats on the broadcast for those who do tune in.

Blues now up 5-1 with 23 minutes to go.

Tuesday at 7 Thursday at 7 and then weekend in Raleigh works for me.

Or

Monday-wed-Friday Sunday with two weekend games in Raleigh is better.

I see Pearl Jam is at Lenovo Sunday through Tuesday. Seems like an issue.

Pearl Jam shows are on Sunday and Tuesday. I'm sure it would take a lot of work to throw a hockey game in there on Monday, but based on some of those time lapse videos of venue conversions, seems like that shouldn't be that big of an issue? I am curious as to who pays for the extra expense of putting a hockey game in the middle (basically having to take down and set up Pearl Jam 1 extra time). Seems like it would be the Canes, but I have no idea how the contract between the Canes and Centennial Authority is set up.

Um, won't games 1 and 2 be played in DC?

Lol never mind I see you're talking about games 3 and 4
