I'd assume Monday or Tuesday would be the likely day. All series in round one done by Sunday. Just depends on building availability and TV. We might be the favored eastern series from a TV perspective with Florida and a Canadian team being the other option.

Clearly a dive/faking it, at least I'm sure from NJ fans perspective. Hell they still think Freddie flopped and was trying to "sell" the Meier hit...yea, he flopped, left the game, didn't come back, and didn't play the next game either, he's committed to that dive dammit!!!

I believe the argument from New Jersey's side was that it was a follow-through and thus, shouldn't have been a penalty. But that was just the initial reaction. After seeing the replay, I think most people agree it was the correct call

You'd be surprised...this is the same fanbase that STILL thinks Jokinen ran Brodeur and should have been called for interference in 2009? It was the correct call all along, follow-thru mainly comes into play on shots, not a pass to the left along the boards and bringing your stick up and to the right. Days later I'm still seeing new comments on FB / HF that it was a bad call and refs cost them the game.

Well, unless we're expecting Washington's best forward and their two best penalty-killing defensemen to get injured, I don't see that happening.

Both of Washington's special teams were not very good in round one. Their PP was also pretty mid in the regular season. There's a path there.

Well last 2 meetings against the Caps we blew them out and then went to OT. I like our odds this series even if our special teams do take a step back, but it'll probably be a close one either way. 6-7 games is likely. Really need Freddie to get and stay healthy for it though. PK wouldn't sink us but would make it much more difficult and we'd really need our star forwards to step up (which they did vs NJ credit to them).
