As much as I hate it, Rod reminds me a lot of Andy Reid when he was in Philly. Great, excellent head coach but had his deficiencies that kept him from reaching the top of the mountain that he was either incapable of or unwilling to fix until he was fired and it forced a career introspective on how it got to that point.

I definitely get what you are saying and I remember Reid punting on 4th down with 2 minutes left against the Saints in a playoff game when his team needed a TD, but prior to Mahomes, Reids teams in KC had some stinkers as well. His first year there they blew a 38-10 lead to the Colts

Ah yes, the career introspective of getting Patrik Mahomes. Thats all Rod needs.
Well, he was terrible at clock management, had a tendency to abandon the run and fell in love with terrible WRs, which all came roaring back a couple weeks ago, but have for the most part not been there the last few years.

I’m not acting like that. I’m saying he’s been bad. So give him less ice time. 25% less of these mistakes happen with 25% less ice time just by definition. Then, consider you’re taking him off what is supposed to be your top pairing, now he’s playing against 3rd and 4th liners from the 3rd pairing, things look a lot better.
Oh, I def get what you’re saying and poor wording on my part. I don’t mean to sound like I’m singling you out or say you specifically are acting like that. Some fans definitely do have that mentality, but Im more referring to the team and the organization as a whole.

Clock management I’ll give you, but he was almost ahead of his time with relying more heavily on the pass. I think he abandoned the run this season because his running backs and O line weren’t good at football.

He also insisted he was the coach and GM of the team in Philly only to give up GM duties in KC in 2017 so he could focus on being the coach first and foremost.

4th line exiled tonight:
